Where to get ipad screen replaced?

My buddy dropped his and needs it replaced. Any real world experience with replacing one?

There's a place on High St. called CPR(Cell Phone Repair). The guy takes Apple products apart all day long and does a great job for cheap. Turn around is within the hour. I bet he's replaced many Ipad screens and could help you out.

 

If you wanted to do it yourself, you'd have to buy the special tools and the screen with LCD off ebay or some retailer, but it's not too difficult. There are plenty of DIYs online.

I highly recommend http://www.tekexperts.org/ They are near High St and Hudson. They also have the best reviews on various sites.

 

As far as best price, the ubreakifix may be the cheapest via groupon.

I would recommend going with Tek Experts though.... they are open everyday and most times done while you wait (~1 hour) unless someone already booked an appointment.

+1 more for Daniel at Tek Experts. worked on my ipod a while back, and about a month ago my S3 when i dropped it and shattered the screen. i won't go anywhere else. he's super fair. cheaper than every other place i checked and does great work.
