Haven't started any painting yet, still removing the old paint.

Awesome. What's the details on it, anymore "before" pics?

I have owned the car for about 17 years, and it is a real number matching original 427 4 speed with about 53,000 miles.

you using clays leftover cleatus paint?

Nope, this is Monaco orange aka Chevrolet hugger orange.

Well, hello there, Fairlane.

Greetings!

Hells yes!

Looks awesome. While the access is there, might I suggest removing the mufflers for a better exhaust note? :gabe:

Not at this time, they are OEM.

I haven't seen it in person, But the paint looked great In the first pic...? Was there some issues there that you wanted u to repaint it.?

Paul,

The paint was old and had some checking/etc, it was a 5 footer. There were some areas that needed to be repaired. I have planned for years to do it and now pulled the trigger.

Find any unforeseen rust spots whilst taking this monster apart? :yuno:

Nope, overall, it was in pretty good shape. Years ago, I did repair the upper corners of the windshield frame.
