Good:

Motor has been gone through by me.

- New Head gaskets, Improved MLS Design gaskets, much less prone to failure

- New Cam Seals

- New Timing Belt

- New Timing Kit

- New Water Pump

- New Intake Manifold Gaskets

- New Plugs

- New Wires

- New Clutch/Pressure Plate/Throwout Bearing

- Valves Adjusted

- Cold AC, Professionally Recharged and leak checked

- Fresh Fluids with Subaru Oil Filter

- Very Clean body for a Subaru of this age, has very little rust

- Alloy Legacy wheels with tires that have great tread life left

- Has Factory Rubber Cargo mat in the hatch area

Bad:

- Previous owner had cheap tint, its bubbling in places

- It does have a small rust spot like mentioned above (pic below), but if you know anything about Subarus from around this time period, it is comparatively incredibly clean to most others

- There is a grinding noise when you are off power and in gear coming from (we think) the transmission. Not sure what it is for sure. If the car doesn't sell I will swap in a spare tranny, but the price of the car will go up to 4k. The car otherwise drives just fine, and honestly I am not personally that worried about it as this will likely be someone's beater.

Mileage: 206k on the chassis, but the motor is probably closer to 150k. Mileage is not really a huge deal on Subarus as long as the maintenance items have been taken care of.

This car should make a great daily or winter beater for someone. All of the typical Subaru problems should be completely taken care of. Enjoy that Winter time god mode!

$3000 , partial trades for clean broken Subarus accepted as well.

I have a 2000 legacy outback that looks like this:

It's auto with 188k miles. Nothing wrong except an exhaust leak in the pipe a foot behind the muffler where some genius fucked with it, and rust in the same spot as yours. Only reason I'd want to get rid of it is for a 5mt and that luggage rack because I'd like to get into kayaking this Summer. But I have leather, and I like leather. Hmm.
