Hey Everyone,

I was a member of CR over 6 years ago, but went off to college and forgot all my login information. Now i'm back in town and i've got a newer better ride. I'm 24 years old and live on the East side.

Here's my 2012 Infinti G37x with ~28k miles. As you probably know it's a 3.7 litre V6 with intelligent AWD, and RWD in sport mode. No modifications yet but i'm joining CR to see what the best shops are in town and what would be the best mods for me, if any.

Welcome back to the site. Not a bad intro. What is you intention for the car? Autocross, drag racing, mid ohio, or just to have some more power to play with to enjoy your commute?

Haha Not Brian has a good point, the car payment and insurance are pretty high. I am contemplating some upgrades, but only for fun purposes, or more power on the commute as you put it.

I've always had a lead foot since i got my license and this baby is definitely fun to floor on the back roads. I'm thinking of starting basic like Cold Air Intake and lowering springs, oh and tint ;)

I WANT to do more but i doubt i'll have the cash any time soon, especially because i think it would definitely need a dyno tune. My boss is really into Autocross and has a Z06 and a 6 figure mustang but i don't have the type of cash that he does lol.

I don't believe the car converts to RWD in sport mode.

Of course, I don't own one. More than likely, it lets the tail hang out a bit more though..

My understanding from the salesman who is a close friend and from reading the manual is that even in normal drive it defaults to RWD and only engages other wheels when it can tell it needs to. When i throw the shifter into DS aka Sport mode i was told it is only RWD.

But either way, if i go out onto a dry road and floor it, its sending everything to the rear wheels.

Above something like 35-45mph it turns to RWD only until slippage or the computer determines intervention is needed. In snow mode that goes up to 50-60 or something.

There is no way of making it RWD only other than the forward drive unit blowing up.
