Air conditioner isn't blowing out cold air. Guessing it needs recharged. I called fire and ice and they said $89 to come out. Then freon cost on top of that. Anyone cheaper on the initial cost?

Thanks,

Luke

If it "needs recharged" then it has a leak that needs resolved ;).

My best friend is a commercial chiller mechanic that does residential work on the side. He's put in 5 units for me in my rentals and tons for others. Fair and honest.

Was just looking for the same thing. I'll give him a call as well.

I had the same issue last year. It turned out to be the RUN CAPACITOR. $125 srvice call for a $20 part I could've installed myself. Look to find it on your outside unit...if it's rusted/swollen swap it with a new one and that should fix the problem.

Big shout out to Brad for the first of many recommendations for pat. Pat came out and did his work and charged me a 3rd of what others quoted me. Had to come back to double check pressure and fix what another company screwed up and charge me some low fee for being there 3 hours. Will definitely recommend him to anyone needing ac work.
