Removing plasticdip

Forrest Gump 9

Recommended Posts

Plastidip has to be put on pretty thick to be peeled. Most people don't get it thick enough, if it's been on a while after being applied too thin it's a bitch to get off. Short of chemicals a decent pressure washer will work well.

It's called "dipped whips" Call (614) 636-2347

He has a Facebook page with photos of work

He may have other tips to removing it.

Power washing works best but if it's too thin it is a pain

Won't WD-40 work?

Spray the crap out of it with WD40, wait 5 minutes. Wipe away or power wash

I bought four cans of WD40, but only need about 1.5, and about ten dollar worth of time at the car wash. Cleaned everything right off! May have ruin my shirt but that due to my carelessness ;)

I'll post some before and after pics later. Thank you all for the suggestions.
