I've been reading some reviews and watching videos and so far I'm leaning towards this. It be $270 out the door shipped with easy installation. Gator SR1 Soft Roll-UP Tonneau Cover Ford Ranger 1982-2011 6' Bed Before I pull the trigger anyone have any insight or real world experience? BloodRed Posted July 9, 2015 Report Share Posted July 9, 2015 I ran a Truxedo brand tonneau cover on my 2009 Ram and never had an issue. Only thing extra I purchased was some weather stripping that I added to the end near the cab to reduce a gap at that end. Kept the truck bed bone dry for all the years I had it. After a quick search they dont seem to make them any more but I would recommend getting one that buttons on and one where the buttons dont slide around in the rails. I think I paid around 300. At first I wasn't sure if i would like it but I have grown to love it. I can leave my hockey bag and sticks back there and out of the weather and the few times we've gone camping its come in really handy. I do miss not having an open bed, i think if I were to buy a different truck i might look at the Truxedo brand, they seem to have a nice product from what I've seen. If I did it again or get another truck I'd get a tri fold soft one, the hard ones are nice for security but limit the truck aspect IMO.
