First off, I know you guys are going to hate on me for this.

Secondly, I know an equal - if not greater - number of you would be secretly jelly if I score some hunnert-spokes. ;)

If I'm going to keep the Lincoln, I gotta get some better rolling stock (has good condition factory wheel covers). Would like to get:

- Used but well-kept set of 15" to 18" wheels, preferably 8" wide.

- RWD offset.

- Lincoln "Turbine" wheels from the 70s-80s would be great. WIRE WHEELS would be pimp: gold on the spokes or nipples would be good as the car is tan/metallic brownish copper.

- Would love whitewall tires, but if the set has good rubber and the price is right I'm not going to be picky.

Not looking for some Cragar soft-8s...something shinier and more "dressy" for this thing. Pic of the car is in thread below for perspective, as well as some suggested wheel looks.

I did contact a guy in MI with a set of wires/tires for $600 but he sold the set last week before Christmas. Most of the other CL flakes have been the wrong offset or too much money.

All kidding aside from you chuckleheads...

I have been hitting up SearchTempest for the last couple of weeks. There was a pawnshop on Leonard Ave by the airport that had a set of 20" wire wheels with Goodyear tires, but the tires were for an SUV fitment...not enough clearance in the fenders given the wheel offset.

How involved would it be to lower it? Are they just coil springs front and rear? I'm thinking ditch the mud flaps, lower it, and put some wide whites on the steelies painted body color. If it's not flashy enough, you could still put some trim rings and/or spider caps on them.
