NWill
I have added prices on most of the items so far. The price listed is for a bare metal finish that has been sanded and deburred. I will have a powder coating oven soon and will be able to offer more options. Meanwhile, it is too cold for me to finish them in my garage as the paint will not dry. Maybe Hoblick can chime in with some pricing on a few things. I started this project a few months ago. While waiting on parts to arrive I picked up a 60g compressor. I was looking at dual stage Quincy's but figured that would be overkill for this application. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=984&pictureid=8613 This was the wall where the CNC would sit http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=984&pictureid=8630 I relocated the slat wall to the other side and moved all the wood to my shed http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=984&pictureid=8612 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=984&pictureid=8614 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=984&pictureid=8615 Got the table after tracking down a uhaul for 3 hours. We ended up having to load it on its side anyway since the uhaul opening is only 5ft wide. The shitty thing is I have a 5x10 but knew it wasn't wide enough. It would have worked fine since we had to turn it on its side anyway http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=984&pictureid=8631 Sitting at home http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=984&pictureid=8632 This showed up shortly after http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=984&pictureid=8635 Priming gantry brackets http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=984&pictureid=8621 38 pilot holes http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=984&pictureid=8616 38 drilled to size http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=984&pictureid=8617 All tapped http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=984&pictureid=8618 Gantry uprights http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=984&pictureid=8619 Edited November 27, 2016 by NWill

These need to be welded together for the length of your X-axis. I wasn't looking forward to it but it was pretty easy. I mainly didn't feel comfortable with my MIG since I've only had it for a week. But I didn't feel like rolling my TIG out to the driveway so I went for it. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=984&pictureid=8636 The gear track clamped to bottom of CRS rails. NWill
Looks amazing. I've got a few ideas I'll be contacting you about. Everything looks bad-ass. Way cool. Have you ever worked with a CNC before? Looks like you're a pro? Honestly not much. I did a lot in HS but that was 11-12 years ago and just CADD, no CNC. bad ass, you should put together some pricing Pricing mostly depends on gauge, the amount of pierces, and the linear inches of cut. I have prices on anything I have posted so far. Other than that it's a case by case basis. I'm happy to take requests! I'm always looking for random samples to burn with the space between cuts. Mojoe
Posts like this is why CR is such an awesome place. Dude does a CNC set up in his garage and it rocks. Adam, as Howard and Clark already leaned toward, there is some definite interest in getting some other things done. I have bonfires at the house often. I have melted 3 metal fire rings/pits. I don't make small fires, I like to heat the world. And from time to time, I may drop 2000 firecrackers in there, or a box of bottle rockets. You know, just to keep people on their toes. So, with that in mind, I would be interested in seeing what you think would hold up to that, yet still be decorative and unique. I know you are not soliciting here, only showing your work. But it may be worth while to become a sponsor, should you decide to posting pricing and take on projects.

I think 11ga (1/8") is a happy medium between overkill and store bought. Sounds like you may want 1/4" Once I get moving this morning I will post up pics of some pits I've seen so far. There are some very cool ones out there. Also, PM me some info about sponsorship or point me in the right direction if you could. Thanks!
