Cant find anywhere so i figure the next step is this. Can anyone guide me on how this process works? What system to use and stay safe with? There hasn't been anything I've wanted to watch that I couldn't find on Kodi. I love torrents but Kodi seems a lot easier for any movies or shows. ShowHBK Posted January 8, 2017 Report Share Posted January 8, 2017 One thing I can tell you that is important to torrenting is Seeders vs. Leechers Seeds or seeders are people that are sending out the data that you want. Think of these people as the "givers" of the information you are looking for. These people may have the entire thing you are downloading or little pieces of the file you want. These people are very good to have in high numbers on a torrent because that means that the information you want is plentiful and the odds that someone is seeding their information on a fast connection is good. One of the most important things when selecting a torrent is to find one with more seeders than leechers. Leechers are people who are downloading the file at any given time. Leechers can also be seeders depending on how much information has been seeded to them. Generally speaking, Leechers slow down the swarm if there are to many of them which can lead to slower and slower download speeds of the torrent. All websites with torrent files have a counter on the file which will tell you the last reported number of Seeders/Leechers... try avoiding high numbers of Leechers for better results. I currenly use uTorrent and a number of different websites for files. TBP is always a good place to start, though one word of caution. Be careful when downloading a "HOT" movie the week it comes out. Normally companies who own that content can monitor a torrent's swarm and find your IP address to complain to your ISP about you. In my many years of torrenting I have only received warnings from my ISP twice for downloading COD:4 when it came out and a lord of the rings movie. I am not trying to say that everything you download will get you in trouble... but just be smart about what you download. Also, read the comments on a Torrent if there are any. See if the majority of people are saying that its safe to download. You would hate to download a file that is 4GB and full of viruses or nasty ass animal porn... unless you're into that stuff... then you would hit the jackpot i guess :/ Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That's why I just download them. :dumb: Get a Firestick or FireTV Install Kodi Install Exodus Watch all of the above fo free. Seriously though, it takes 5 minutes. I stopped using torrents because of it. Instead of downloading and using Plex or whatever you just browse through shows like you would on prime video, hulu, etc. Any new show/movie/whatever you'd find on torrents is already on Kodi to stream. NWill Posted January 8, 2017 Report Share Posted January 8, 2017 The firesticks are easy. There a bunch of videos on youtube. It's either more reliable than it used to be or the FireTV is just a lot faster since it has an ethernet port. My old firestick was inches from my router so I don't think that was the issue. I haven't turned on my cable box since replacing my broken firestick a few weeks ago. I haven't had any issues streaming like I used to ~6-7 months ago. TV shows movies and whatever else is the same. At least with using a torrent once you have the file no lag and you can watch it offline with your internet off. Putting SPMC on (pretty much a newer version of kodi from the same designer), exodus add-on, and will be cutting my entertainment bill in half. The fire will pay for itself in 1mo. ImUrOBGYN Posted January 13, 2017 Report Share Posted January 13, 2017 I run an old version uTorrent for many reasons, a few of which I'll list: No bloat, no ads, faster speeds, and none of the issues of the newer uTorrent (at least when I switched back some time ago.) Plus, a few options I missed that had been pulled or buried. The version is 2.2.1 for anyone interested. Wish I could remember the legit place I dl it from. You'll have to conduct your own search. I'd never really had an issue with using torrents since I don't dl movies and music much. Yet, I still got popped w/warnings within my first two weeks of moving here. So, I switched back to a VPN which I hadn't used for and sort of downloading in years. I've been happy with PureVPN for some time, now. I got a killer deal on my last year for $24. My speeds are awesome and it's one of the simplest VPNs you'll ever attempt to deal with. I immediately tested this VPN by dl a bunch of shit some of which I knew would be flagged. Passed w/flying colors. There have been a shitload of torrent sites closed, reopened and renamed over the last year or two. I've been doing a bit of research and shit and have a few sites I generally stick to for good traffic and offerings. If anyone would like a list, I'd prefer pm. Hope this helps some folk.
