BIGGU
Tiny brakes.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro yes they are a decent size, however how much does the car weigh again? there is more to stopping a car than just how large the caliper is. Aaron
Ben needs to go put it on the cosi scale. I'd guess 4100.

Caliper size has nothing to do with brake torque or stopping power.
SpaceGhost
Well I can mash the brake and they do a hell of a good job stopping the car. I had Brembos on my last two STIs and I honestly feel these bite harder in a heavier car.
SpaceGhost
Ben needs to go put it on the cosi scale. I'd guess 4100. Pretty good guess, I wonder if the stated 3825 max curb weight is my car WITH the 20" foundry wheels? I think they weigh 15-20 pounds more than the other wheels. I may have lost a few lbs with the MBRP cat back installed.
Aaron
There have been coupes weigh in at 3825, yours has to be over 4000.
SpaceGhost
So you are saying without me it's 4100?
Aaron
That's my guess. After looking at 1 article, it shows a 125 pound increase for the convertible. So I'd think right at 4k lbs.

Rustlestiltskin
Yeah - too bad it is not a lightweight like a GTO In the world of current sports car weight, my 3700lbs isn't the top of the charts anymore. While Your pig on donk wheels is over 4000lbs and dogshit slow.
caseyctsv
Your pig is over 4000lbs as well. And? What's your point?

zeitgeist57
You're not a central Ohio car guy until you've weighed at least one of your cars at COSI. BMW: 31xx lbs Cadillac: 42xx lbs (!!!) Cleetus: 3420 lbs (gets weighed every time I scrap/haul trash) Lincoln: 46xx lbs

starkmaster03
I parked at COSI for years and now park at Vets Memorial and never knew about this scale. I will soon know the weight of all my cars...
