mrs.cos Posted February 19, 2017 Report Share Posted February 19, 2017 hey guys! As you all know I'm big into rescue and PetPromise is my rescue of choice. They are a great supportive group, and are active in a lot of facets of Animal Welfare. We are in need of fosters. We have a new foster director and she is big on pulling puppies from rural Kentucky shelters which are more or less glorified mobile homes with cages stacked on top of each other. They have no choice but to euthanize most dogs that come in due to lack funding. Puppies tend to be hound/shepherd/pitty mixes and have been adopting out fairly quickly. Puppies that are young (8-12 weeks) and from teh same litter are fostered in pairs to help with socialization, but if you can only take one, due to having other dogs in the house, this is an option as well since they will still get socialization. We are always on the lookout for people who are willing to take in barn cats, and be cat fosters as well, especially with the upcoming kitten season (usually happens in early spring but with the warm weather its coming faster) If you are a grant writer, great at marketing and know how to do marketing for fundraisers this is huge for us as well.
