SOLD!

A complete, brandy-new set of BF Goodrich R1S tires in the 245/40-17 size. These are R-compounds, not legal for Street, ST, or CAM classes in SCCA solo. ^But, they are ideal for road racing, HPDE's, track days, etc.

This set came with my Mustang. ^They are date coded in first quarter of 2014, and have been stored in a cool dry basement all of their life. I have been running on used sets of these tires at Mid Ohio and PittRace to get used to the Mustang, and have decided to purchase a fresh set for the remaining races of the season to see what the car can really do in prep for the Runoffs.

These tires would be great for regional road racing, HPDE / Track day events, etc. They are not quite at the pointy end of the spectrum for competing effectively at SCCA Majors / Super Tours / Runoffs. ^I ran on this model and size of tires in used (2+ heat cycle, 2013 date codes) condition at Mid-Ohio and PittRace, and provide an idea on how they perform. ^

My Mustang is a fat filly (3400 lbs) with smallish rims (17x7) and tires (245 width), so it really punishes tires. On my piggish car the used tires are fine for single element turns that aren't too long (Turn 7, 12 at Mid Ohio) but give up a little ^grip on transitions (Turns 8 - 11) and long hard turns (Carousel and Keyhole). ^I suspect these new tires would be better than the used tires I ran on. ^On a lighter car like a Boxster or S2000, they'd be that much better
