You dodged a bullet.

I drained ours 5 times with fresh atf replaced the small filter and I did not get lucky unfortunately,if the tranny is fubar then fresh fluid aint fixing it at this stage.

 

God I hope so. It's been a good car outside of a few things starting to fail the past two years. But at 147k, stuff is bound to go bad.

Update...well after driving the school bus around for the last month it fixed itself !

 

After 5 x drain and fills with Max life synthetic ATF and a bottle of Lube gard all is well!

Forgot to update...our ‘12 Odyssey went in for its 60k mi transmission flush. I mentioned the “surging” and weird shifting.

 

They did a software update and the van has never driven smoother or accelerated more cleanly!
