Geeto67 Posted August 20, 2018 Report Share Posted August 20, 2018 Hey all, I have a Morris Magneto on my 1974 Sportster. It's basically a modernized copy of the old fairbanks morse magneto that used to be installed on tractors, 4 cyl race cars, custom VW's, etc... The mag has no spark. I haven't done anything to it yet other than to remove the cap to see if it had gotten wet (it hadn't). Seems like a pretty simple setup, 1 set of breaker points, condenser, and a coil but not sure where to start with diagnosis. Anybody have some advice as to what to check, how to check it, and where to start? I didn't see any grounds in it and the points look fine and not corroded.
