UPDATED with PICS --> RX7 Porn Inside

Here's a sneak peak of a Clean & Prep for Sale Package that I completed last night. Joe's RX7 is IMO one of the sexiest designs of a vehicle in the last 30 years. Mazda needs to get their designers in action and back to making cars like this. Even the interior and gauges are perfect. This one should show pretty well. Full pics which are included in the package will be posted later.

So Joe came to me with his RX7 that's been in storage and ridden with dust and holograms from the last person who polished on it using a rotary but didn't have the best handle of using such a tool. The goal here was to get it ready inside and out and under the hood so he could list a respectable looking RX7 for sale.

The Clean & Prep for Sale or Trade package is targeted at vehicles that are in need of a strong exterior and interior clean up prior to selling or trading the vehicle where the current owner does not want to invest in a machine polish yet does want to maximize the appearance and offer a freshly cleaned and protected vehicle.

What we agreed to was a custom package that involved a nice light polish with an SiO2 Based polish that will and did effectively knock-down the swirls and and absolutely removed those buffer trail holograms. Overall the car actually came out better than even I expected for such a light polish.

Next came the interior which was basically a full wipe down of every surface and crack and joint to remove months of dust. Same for under the hood only that's where things can be tricky given the mods and exposed items and sensitive electronics so I traded lightly and achieved what Joe was looking for in the way of clean up.

I'll leave the final opinion on the outcome to Joe to share but overall, I feel the car is very presentable now and clean up will no longer be an issue for the upcoming sale.

Thanks again to Joe for trusting in my work and the flexibility in his schedule as well. Now onto a few more additional pics.

This pic is a bit embarrassing for me as the short drive down the street to turn it around kicked up a lot of dust that I wasn't as aware of until after the shots were taken. The joys of pure black....ugh.

Looks great Tim. Awesome job, as always.

Thank you sir! I love the styling of this car. I'm not sure how it drives but just moving it around I can say Joe has a nice gear box set up in it. Super short throw and just clicks into gears. Very nice.

One of my favorite OG cars here.

p.s. what's with the battery location and being on its side?

Thanks, Brian. There’s quite a bit going on with the electronics in the car. A yellow top allows extra terminals to connect to and is a great battery. It’s not lead based, so it doesn’t matter how you mount it.

The car had the gasket on the oil pan replaced today. There was a leak that has been resolved. There’s a for sale vid and a few more pics being edited that I hope to have completed after this weekend.
