Nothing crazy, just couple of the tabs broke off and couple bolt holes got mangle up. Is there a place locally that can help me with something like that? Richard Cranium Posted March 11, 2020 Report Share Posted March 11, 2020 I was talking with the Auto Collision instructor about plastic welding the other day. The welder looks like a soldering iron with a slightly curved diamond shape plate to spread out the heat. Apparently the new one has a CO2 generator to provide shielding gas around the weld. It allows you to heat the plastic more without it burning because there is no oxygen. I guess anything that melts it back together will work, but there are definitely some nicer ways of doing it.
