Nice deflection but again..when trump did the travel ban he was a racist..dem joe does it and not a sound by the media..the socialist in power or any lib on this board

Fur..very scary..lol

Do I think Biden’s ban is going to prevent any spread to the US? No, and it's most likely already here. What would I do differently? Lots of testing on anyone flying internationally.

Did I agree with Trump's travel ban? No, there were people who went through thorough background checks in order to come to the US to flee violence and war, or for school or jobs, or even simply to visit family who had that all thrown away for an arbitrary reason. Trump took a lot of shit for his ban because his own website called for stopping Muslim immigration, then he banned travel and immigration from Muslim countries with no known direct threat to national security. That's why his ban was questioned from the start. For all the Trump supporters outraged at Biden over Afghanistan, where was that outrage when Trump blocked refugees from Yemen, Syria, or Iraq, trapping them in their countries? What would I have done differently? Thorough background checks of all people traveling here from those countries....which was already being done anyway.

My concern is for American Citizens first and foremost not refugees. I then step up a concern for those such as interpreters that supported us in the time we were there that had loyalty to us.

I'm sorry but I have a very narrow interest in our citizens paying the price $ in all fashions that it costs us to continue to bring over HUGE numbers of refugees from anywhere. That numbers needs to be capped at some level.

I'm not upset about any bans by either.

Again, aoc and others in the retard group called him a racist for his ban from china when covid first was discovered.

The muslim ban was due to the stupid shit they did..and we don't know if he was briefed on something imminent was going to occur.

looks the fed just blinked at inflation.... "Comments from Federal Reserve chairman Jerome Powell didn't help. Powell told Congress that the Fed no longer thought inflation was "transitory" and he hinted that the Fed could accelerate its plans to cut back on, or taper, bond purchases."

then add in analyst from jp morgan chase stating that they can forecast gas to be $5 bucks a gallon due to guess what. not being able to support the needed purchasing demand and move it quick enough. guess who's already killed a pipeline.

then add in bidens interior dept recommending raising royalty rates for drilling companies on public lands and more red tape.

this is all after the pro-shutdown folks killed off a few hundred thousand small business'.

this is going to be an ugly time going forward for cost of goods.

Hinest question, how much oil/gasoline for the US market is moved through any pipeline that has been killed?

The president has very little, to no affect on prices at the pump. The oil companies had excess production last year when everything shut down, so they stopped producing. Now that demand has gone back up they have been slow to ramp production back up. And the oil companies don't give a shit because they're making more profit on it. OPEC also is keeping production low. Oil companies have millions of acres of leases on public land that they aren't even using.

not quite.... why would a business expand when they are under constant increasing pressure from the gov only to lose money or lack of return due on growth investments. if that was the case then we would have had consistent $3 gas prices under trump. what happened to growth for oil fields when biden cancelled public drilling in the gulf. went from growth to nothing.

also don't forget omarova's stance on wanting to bankrupt the oil companies.

IDK, I had to stop driving to work for two weeks last spring because no gas due to colonial pipeline shutdown.

Yeah, but that was because their system was hacked, not because of any politician.

The only pipeline I know of that Biden killed was a Keystone XL, and that wasn't pumping any oil, and even when it was planned to most of it was for export and independent groups had studied and warned that the project would actually increase gas prices for people in the Midwest.

  • 3 weeks later...

"U.S. health officials' decision to shorten the recommended COVID-19 isolation and quarantine period from 10 days to five is drawing criticism from some medical experts and could create more confusion and fear among Americans. To the dismay of some authorities, the new guidelines allow people to leave isolation without getting tested to see if they are still infectious."

is this how desperate biden is to save his sinking economy after shut downs destroyed small business, effected minorities at a higher rate, and during another surge?

Epstein is basically guilty by implication.

Unfortunately nothing more is likely to happen, no future indictments or discussions on who else was involved.

Now let's just sit around and see how long it takes for the sealed documents protecting so many get leaked. :lolguy:

Ranks right up there with the tests we are being given at work. First we were picking them up at local libraries about 6 at a time and responsible for storing them till use. Now they come from the health department but we are still given them about 6 at a time. They are supposed to be stored at a controlled temperature. They expired in early September. They were given a 90 day extension. We are still using them. They were originally done over video with a proctor. The company will no longer accept them. So now we just do them by ourselves and send a picture to HR showing the negative test. Multiple times they have had the opposite results of other tests taken the same day.

Fun COVID story. My roommate at PRI hit positive for COVID. He was in close contact with me of course and our entire team at the trade show for 4 days.

Nobody else got COVID, several were unvaxxed and didn't wear masks.

We all took tests when we got back, nobody tested positive except for my roommate.

We then took additional tests after, nobody tested positive including me.

Now, I'm no CDC scientist or Dr. Fucci, but you would think statistically at least one of us would have also tested positive.

I know people that are not vaxxd and have been exposed in close, extended proximity of someone actively sick and no one got it.

Im not saying its fake, im just offering an experience ive seen. I also know just about everyone I know has it right now. some with mild symptoms, others with no symptoms.

Its fuckin wild how crippled some people are of this now endemic.
