V4junkie
Oh no . . . Decent chassis, good brakes, and the worst motor ever placed in a sportbike. There are better ways to be "different."
Disclaimer
They're really fun carving twisties down the mountainside..It just sucks when you don't have anyone to help you push them back up to the top when you want to do it again. Tpoppa
Buell bashers always puzzle me...People seem to like the SV650 motor, compare it to the Buell XB9 motorBuell makes more HPBuell makes more torqueBuell requires less maintenaceBuell gets better MPG
V4junkie
Don't look at me, I wouldn't own an SV. They're parts-bin specials of Suzuki leftovers.

magley64
buell, hahait's kinda the best chance anyone ever gave a harley engine.why put such an inferior engine in such a superior design? the world may never know.at least buell got smart for his new creations and lost the HD plant in favor of a rotax.the new one is no Bimota Tesi, but I'd be interested to see what buell could do with a MV Augusta powerplant... V4junkie
Buells are competent niche-market motorcycles, but they are certainly not the two wheeled world's best kept secret. Not everyone falls in love with it, myself included. My taste might be peculiar but both of the 1125 models are cool looking IMO. Not so fond of the erector-set look of the xb's.edit: Maybe I should define "niche-market." By that I mean anyone that categorically rejects bikes from other countries. V4junkie
On a somewhat related topic, I may be one of the very few that likes the looks of the BMW S1000rrhttp://www.motorcycle-usa.com/574/3427/Motorcycle-Article/2009-BMW-S1000RR-Specs---Details.aspxActually, that bike might need it's own thread
