Places To Camp

So, Even thought my bike deal fell through (for the time being anyway) I'm trying to plan some future camping trips with my bike.

I want to go to Hocking Hills or somewhere else close...so anyone have any experience camping locally?

I need to know campsite names, or websites I can acess to get pricing and stuff.

I would appreciate any input y'all can offer! Thanks!

Hocking and Mohican are the probably the most popular and an easy drive from Columbus.

For some less touristy areas, try Paint Creek or Lake Vesuvius. Both are fairly picturesque, and not too bad of a drive from Columbus. At Lake Vesuvius, you can camp on the cliff that overlooks the lake, it's pretty cool.

If you want a cabin and plan on fishing, try Seneca Lake or Piedmont Lake, both are off of 70 in eastern Ohio.

Lake Vesuvius:

Look into some of the Northern WVA camping grounds....the dual-sport riding down that way puts Ohio's to shame, and it's still within range of a little bike.

That's not a bad idea at all!! +1...Thanks! I used to live in Dub V why in the heck didn't I think of that? Great suggestion...that wouldn't be a far ride and the view is GORGEOUS!!

walhounding has a bunch of dirtbike/4hwheeler/rail buggie trails not much for hiking or sight seeing. they have a pool and play area. also have showers and that sorta stuff. its either tent or camper there are no cabins or anything of that sort there. come on july 4th and party harddy and ride the trails with us!!! and get to watch the fireworks

4th of July, huh? That would be a blast wouldn't it? If I can convince my man to go on a trip (which shouldn't be too hard...) I would LOVE to do something like that over a holiday...and the whole point is go riding so who cares about sight seeing---and I love the tent idea and also love that there is a real shower....sounds awesome!

Okay, it sounds absolutely intriguing!! Im good with getting dirty and seeing whatever there is to see that those without the dual sport can't get to ;) Are there fees for the camp sites etc? I really wouldn't mind planning that...oh...I'm moving into my new place the first week of July....I guess it would be a great break if we can get all our shit together by then....wow sounds like fun
