From everything I have read in the past about that vid, there was really not much to go on as to why it happened but most of the speculations say that cause was 1 of the following if not a combination of the following. Overloaded round, Water in the barrel from the rainDebris in the barrelSupposedly there were a batch of bad barrels for that model rifle.Either way, the guy is lucky. flounder Posted June 17, 2009 Report Share Posted June 17, 2009 If you watch the tail end of the video a dark object is projected about 5 feet. I just wanted to know what that was.Its part of the forend of the stock.. If you notice for the barrel to split the way it did and to that extreme, it broke off part of the stock..
