SWing'R
Hi all,I am going to be heading down to Columbus this weekend and was wondering where a good spot to park the bike is? are there any parking garages that accept bikes? thanks!Well this really depends on "where" in Columbus you're talking about.Downtown? Campus? Easton? Where you gonna be?Downtown has lots of new free bike parking special spots.
Tomcat0403
depends on what time downtown too...you need a parking pass from 7am to 5 pm weekdays to park in those spots downtown...basically i just find a meter or some place that is not big enough for a car to park in
PhantomMs1
it will be on campus, and from thursday night - sunday afternoon
chachi1189
well i know campus has free parking in their garages on weekends starting friday at 5 or 6pm and ending monday 5-6 ambefore that you have to park off campus and wherever you can squeeze your bike
PhantomMs1
the garages dont accept bikes, at least the ones on campus by high street. they say right on the gates no motorcycles. this is why i was wondering where i could park. On the weekends they let people without garage permits park in the garages, so although less likely you might get a ticket if you don't have a sticker on your forks
chachi1189
when i didn't have a parking pass i parked on pattersonbetween olentangy and high street on lane turn away from campus onto neilwhen you reach patterson turn leftpark on the left side of patterson (where traffic faces back to neil)you'll probably see a few cars there already...just park in between or behind/front or whateveri once kept my bike there for a week and nobody touched it

Tomcat0403
on weekends i would say you are ok to park in the motorcycle parking areas on campus, especially if you have a cover for the bike. The traffic and parking guys dont work from saturday night to very early monday morning from what i know

viper51s
try and stay away from south campus (<12th ave) and I wouldn't go any further east then 4th street. Crime is a bit higher there but overall you should be ok anywhere
