DAC
Rear view mirrors are ugly. On sportbikes and nakeds especially so. So has anyone ever seen a rear-mounted, rear-facing camera matched to a small (e.g., 4.3" like a GPS) flat panel LCD? Seems like it'd do the trick and eliminate the need for the mirrors. Just getting back into riding so I will confess plainly I don't know what I'm talking about. But -- mirrors just seem kinda old-school. crf69
mirrors are required by law

BornSinner
here is one of my old set ups......
DAC
That's the idea! A tad big, though. Maybe 3.5" screen would be right.
Cypress
I think it should be more of a wide angle view. Cool thinkin' though.
BornSinner
It was a 5" screen and the rear camera was a Wide angle with night vison.....My first set up was with a 2.5 lcd screen, and you really couldnt tell what the cars were behind you....plus you can glance down at the larger screen and still be safe.... magley64
the easy way is to just buy a MTT (but that's also the super expensive way)

jporter12
My issue would be the stuff that's practically beside you, that would be closer than the view of the camera? Would you be missing some stuff, possibly making a blindspot worse? I look over my shoulder often, anyway, just curious.
Goldie
I got a wide angle infrared camera and 3 inch LCD monitor on eBay for like $75 bucks. I took my mirrors off, and just use the cam and monitor.

The mirrors on both bikes are a pain in the ass to get a good view from, this could be a nice (expensive) alternative.
