SWing'R
My wife is in St Anns tonight, she was rushed to the hospital thisafternoon by her coworkers for severe abdominal pains.Shes been having issues with abdominal pains for weeks now, theysuspected her gall bladder but all the tests they ran kept coming backnegative for any problems. She was scheduled to have a nuclear heidascan on her gall bladder tomorrow at Riverside but instead ended up having that scan today at St Anns unexpectadly. The test was positive for gall bladder failure so they admitted her and she's having it out tomorrow morning sometime. So, I know a gall bladder removal is pretty standard operation and should be cut & dry but anytime you go under the knife, you know, its scary! So keep us in your prayers tonight everyone, and thanks!I'll have my laptop with me tomorrow and let you know how things go.

gsxrnurse
Sorry to hear about your wife and I hope everything is a breeze. My dad had this surgery about a month ago and I can empathize with your situation. He recovered pretty quickly and only spent one night after his surgery. Vulcan900
Best of luck.I had this surgery last year. It was done outpatient and while I was really really sore for the next few days, it wasnt to bad.
TopLeft
Hoping for the best. My mom had the surgery about 4 years ago, same scenario and soreness as Vulcan900 reported.
redbarron77
I had the same surgery last year as an outpatient. They even took photos from inside my body cavity, and my Gallbladder in a bucket...have that one in my cube! It'll be a few days of being sore, but, since women are a LOT tougher than us men, she should be back up in no time! We'll still keep her in our prayers down here.
