.380 shells

took about 6 hours of clicking every single link after googling ".380 auto ammo in stock" to finally find these. only other place i've seen it is luckygunner.com but it's like $24+ per 50 box. $17.99 in stock seems to be absolutely unheard of. They had a case of it at vance's last week and a sign saying "ONE BOX OF .380 AUTO PER CUSTOMER" @ $20/box. From some of the gun forum links i found, it seems VERY common that some places will get 1000+ box shipments in and be sold out within a few days because they're one of the only retailers that will have it in stock.

edit:

forgot to post the links:

Magtech .380 Auto $17.99/box very well stocked. Also have Remington UMC .380 at $19.99/box Picked up a case with shipping for a bit under $20 a box and with the availability issues, seems like that's below avg. cost.

Some off brand ammo in stock:

Luckygunner.com has it in stock, but overpriced vs. sgcusa:

When buying a firearm, it is usually a good idea to stick with Nato or at least common calibers. 9mm .45 .223 .308 30-06 12ga can just about always be found. If you are going to depart from that, at least go with common redneck calibers. .22 .38/.357 .44 etc. Ther further you depart from the list, the harder and more expensive it will be to find gun food. 9mm will always be cheaper than .380 because they make a TON of it. Rare calibers like 9mm kurtz, .357 Sig etc instantly become rare birds when ammo gets short and the price rises like crazy. Granted... all ammo has gone stupid since the prices of lead, copper and brass have lost their minds. Thanks a lot China. In days gone by you could buy a 1000 round case of .380 for $72... but now that same case is $290+ shipping. It makes me sad. lol. Cases of federal 5.56 are $500... it is unbelieveable.

There is a magazine at Kroger once in a while... Walmart sometimes has it also... called gun list. That is a book of adds and is usually your best bet for cheap ammo.

for those that need .380 ammo. $13.11/box. best price you'll ever find on .380. i'm stocked on this stuff right now (sadly bought it at $17/box before they dropped the price). it's great ammo too.

I was in Michigan City, IN at a small gun shop that had tons of .380 ammo. Told them that we had a hard time getting it in Ohio and he said he had no idea why. They all us the same supplier and he doesn't have any trouble getting it. Bought a couple boxes from him, while I was there.
