  1. I am trying to get there but, my trailer is not ready. Intermediate is more hectic because passing is allowed. The instructors will let you advance if your turns are consistent and smooth. Its about safety not so much about speed.
  2. These guys are OK. Unfortunately the hype is going to attract LEOs. I have already seen more cruisers this year, mostly troopers, than in the previous ten. On the other hand, if you are new to this area or a new to riding they will take care of you. Justin is a nice kid who can't spell.
  3. Kent, You should not feel bad. That was a sneaky off camber left turn which pushes the bike to the outside. Once you got into the gravel on the side of the road and then the ditch , it was all over. If not for the ditch you would have rode it out. It grabbed the wheels and the results were much like a high side. I have never been so glad to see a rider stand over a downed bike! Hope the ride home was uneventful. Get that bad boy fixed and we will try this again. As the wise man said " Shit happens"
  4. I will be @ Bob Evans 11AM. Red & silver CBR. Drop me a note if you change your mind. I have a meeting in the morning but will be high tailing it out of Cbus before 10. Should be a great ride!
  5. Is that the one right off I-70?
  6. I may be in for this. Keep in mind 555 is deteriorated between 78 and Chesterville. Where in Zanesville?
  7. Brian, you guys do a fantastic job. Between KTM and MidO its a class act all the way.
  8. You did not like the last one? No one got hurt. Minor cosmetic damage to the FJR. No delays. Whats not to like?
  9. IN! Although I will most likely have to join the ride in Carroll on 33. Not counting 33 this looks like a really good route. Hope it will be as uneventful as the last ride:)

+1 A little patience and respect go along way.
  11. OH -YESSSS! Especially the 356 part. Be sure to turn around and ride the loop in both directions.
  12. New pavement on 278. All the way from 50 to 56. The bridges are still a bit rough.

If you hit it square no problems. A ground hog was the largest critter I ran over. The turkey buzzard does not count. It was in the air. Had a stiff neck for a few days. One of my friends ran over a dead deer. It was late at night. He stood up on the pegs and hit it square.
  14. Got the DVD. Felt like I was hanging off, however; the camera does not lie. Thanks again John, it was a great event.
  15. So far nothing is scheduled for the 16th. Count me in John.
  16. Yup, Todd has the knack of bringing things into a sudden, sharp focus.
  17. Hungarian, Austrian and only god knows what else. Still speak and read some Hungarian, French, English(? ) Ride Japanese. Drive GM or Chrysler.
  18. Now that looked like FUN!!!The 08 seems to be running pretty well. Did you get the sprockets changed?
  19. Try Bowman in Lancaster. He does all type of leather work. He certainly has the equipment and there are lots of different jackets an pants in his shop. No racing leathers though.

    Hey Ohio!

Thanks for the help Joe. Those little corrections have a dramatic effect on the old CBR. Hope to see both you and Bob in Wellston.
  21. Any OR riders (novice) going to Mid Ohio on July 21? Its pretty close now.
  22. Doesn't anyone get up early on the weekend? Great ride and I made it back home a few minutes before noon. Even had time for a cup of coffee at Grandma Fayes and bs with one of the locals. I was almost through Hocking on the way home before I seen any motorcycles.
  23. This sounds great!! I am going to try to make it. At least for the picture ride.
  24. I know its short notice but if anyone is interested let me know. I will be leaving from Lancaster(Tim Hortons) between 8:30 - 9:00. Back roads to Albany and back. Very good ride and scenic too. All bikes welcome. Need to be back around 1 o'clock.
