ohdaho
I'm the aerospace engineer, everyone else's opinion sux, lol. So youre saying youre useless in this conversation cuz what we need is a chemist or chemical engineer? CO2 isnt an acidic gas...its slightly acidic when in aqueous. CO2 isnt an acidic gas...its slightly acidic when in aqueous.CO2 is an acidic gas. It is also an acidic oxide. Nobody cared about CO2 compared to SO2.Until CO2 removal from the atmosphere became big business.Medical Carbon Dioxide USP-- A colorless, orderless, nonflammable, slightly acidic gas which is about 1 1/2 times as heavy as air.Gas Applications used in Food and BeveragespH Control: The use of carbon dioxide to control the pH levels of alkaline wastewater, cooling water, drinking water, and industrial process water systems. Carbon dioxide, a mildly acidic gas, will lower the pH of alkaline effluents without storage, handling and safety problems associated with strongly acidic chemicals, such as hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid.Atmospheric Chemistry Even "normal" rain (rain that has not formed in a polluted atmosphere) is acidic because of the presence of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere: CO 2 + H 2 O → H 2 CO 3 Over the millennia, normal rain has created limestone caves because calcium carbonate is slightly soluble in solutions of H 2 CO 3 : CaCO 3 (s) + H 2 CO 3 (aq) → Ca(HCO 3 ) 2 (aq)Using solvents for acidic gas removal Method for eliminating carbon dioxide from waste gasesAcidic gas absorbent and process for production thereof The influence of acidic gas absorption on certain metabolic processes occurring in anaerobically incubated soilsAPPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CLEANING ACIDIC GASAcidic gas adsorber having a metal phthalocyanine on an ion exchangerThermodynamic Modeling of Acidic Gas Solubility in Aqueous Solutions of MEA, MDEA and MEA−MDEA BlendsAcidic Gas Capture by Diamines Acidic gas sensors and method of using sameInvestigations on the adsorption of acidic gases using activated dolomiteCarbon monoxide and hydrogen gases combining to form methanol is way more interesting.Just think, there is free fuel in the air, if we could only get it on the cheap. Holy batman, did you do enough fact finding?

Monstrosity
Wow I cant believe I read the whole thing! As stated on the first page you can ask 10 people and get 10 different answers. With that said here's what I do:-Fill the tank and add Stabil-Put the bike on stands -Put battery tender on. Or pull the battery and put tender on-Lube the chain-Put progrip orange butt plug in exhuast-Clean the bike every two weeks, lol-Put a lock on it and make sure you have at least fire and theftOh and I like JB80 over WD40 its twice as good! A good "dont", tire shine the tires... Thats a big no no. I know someone who did that thier first winter.

Exit Wounds
One other thing I do, especially since I beat the hell outta the clutch is in the spring I pull the oil pan off and clean it out along with the oil pickup. You'd be suprised how much debris is in there especially if you're racing it.
warpspeed
Clean it up then1. put on stands.2. dump some stabil in3. change the oil---who wants their bike sitting for 4 months with nasty oil in it?4. cover it5. battery tender
