For those of you that dont know, the Vegas SHOT Show is where the latest and greatest is released or prototypes are shown each year for new firearms related stuff. (Pics and descriptions taken from my LR shooting forum.)

Here ya go even though Im sure some of this wont matter to you other then the pictures.

Remingtons version of the piston system for ARs. It's not a short stroke version like the HK416 and most of the other piston systems on the market. It's more like a mid stroke piston setp. Notice the lack of rails all the way around and up and down the forend. It's just in the prototype phase right now and probably won't see it until 2011.

MSR's and RACS

RACS will be available Q3 hopefully. MSR is Remingtons entry into the PSR program. Also AACs new 300SD suppressor. 300Win Mag rated suppressor that is only 13 ozs.

New scopes from Leupold!

This one is a 1.1 to 8 with .1 MIL adjustments, and a first focal plane reticule that looks very much like the CQB reticle by HORUS with the ranging system underneath. This scope also has an illuminated center dot similar to the infamous 'short dot' and the illumination controls DONT suck! which is a first for Leupy, the illumination knob on the left side has nice positive clicks and it turns off between settings. Additionally the wind/elev knobs are locked unless you squeeze them. there is a clever locking system built into the knobs which is very easy to use with gloves.

New Accuracy International stuff (AI)

1. TI QD suppressor line, these are running from 12.5oz to 28oz depending on caliber and application setup. The Covert can is 20" w/muzzle brake, 17oz TI QD suppressor. The new Universal .338 QD TI can will be 17.4oz.

2. We are offering a new muzzle brake, double chamber, QD suppressor attachment and extremely effective on all the .308 - .338's.

3. AICS systems, well we have the M700 MLR .338 CIP with one installed and the CIP mag setup. Savage S/A Model 10 AICS has basically brought tears to the eyes of those owners which have been begging for a quality and comfortable stock/chassis system. M24 chassis, has raised some brows, made some very happy customers which wanted to see this released. AX chassis, well to say the least, everyone is like in the WOW mode when they see this one.

4. AE Covert, the Cool Guy factor of 10+ from those which made the comments are simply "amazed" with the system. QD suppressor, light weight, 1/10" barrel and just looks like a must have with the Covert case.

5. AE and AW new calibers, offering the 6.5 Creedmore, .260, .243 with potentials of some others and the "AI" chamberings, well most have been simply stated "very pleased".

6. AX series, well here are some quick pics, more to come:

FN has a new DBM version of the SPR as pictured below. Sadly it takes proprietary 5 and 10 round magazines :( and if you already have an SPR with DBM ironically you cannot buy the new 10 round mags as they now lock on the sides and not the front. THE HUMANITY!!!

Definitely some nice hardware on display. Per the attched link there appears to have been some illegal activity at the show for the past several years.

That actually has nothing to do with activity at the show. It just so happens that thats where they (FBI) decided to arrest them since everyone was there in one place.

The majority of it is complete BS. It revolves around paying bonus's to sales reps for sales of items to a foreign country. Dumb news media trying to make it look bad but the majority of the sales were around bags, cases, stuff like that and not actually weapons or NVGs etc.

And of course you have to pay your sales reps commissions. No shit...
