You want to explain all that to some little kids? :wtf:

I knew someone would go there.

I'm not saying it should be played at noon while your kids are watching Dora the Explorer here. But placed strategically around late (9-11 pm) TV. If the youngins who can't understand that are allowed to watch TV that late then you can explain it to them. I've been through all of the high school sex-ed classes. They were worthless. Really.

Thats the problem. You cant trust the media in this country to run this type of commercial at a certain time. For example, Fox runs the Family Guy right after the Simpsons.

Simpsons=somewhat racy at times, but nothing to embarrass dad while watching with his daughter. Family Guy=not so much. Dont get me wrong, I love the show, but its not very responsible to watch it with your elementary aged kid and has no business being on at 6pm. The media doesnt care.

If they were allowed to run commercials like that here, it wouldnt be long before they were running them at all times of the day. The stupid douche and viagra commercials are bad enough.

They could get the message across without sophomoric images of walking peni and footed tweeter.

The media shouldn't care. Every TV being sold on the market comes w/V-chip. Feel free to set that up and pw protect it to hide the crap you don't want your kids to see.

I have two 3yr olds and a 6yr old and I know exactly what they are watching and when they are watching it. They NEVER watch TV without me or the wife sitting with them. The only exception is pre selected DVDs.

It's not the government's or the media's responsibility to let you know what your kids can't or shouldn't be watching. My 6yo still isn't allowed to watch Spongebob because I didn't like the theme of the program when it came out or when I last watched an episode (about 3yrs ago). Before you allow your kids to watch a TV show, you need to watch it yourself first.

Somehow, Someway, all the Euro countries and Canada are able to play these types of commercials and damn near pornographic TV shows and the parents do their job of policing their children's viewing selections and habits.

You are missing the point. I'm not saying the gubment should police TV. I just dont think its necessary to have shit like that on TV to begin with. I have enough things to keep my kid from having to be exposed to.

Heres the point. If you need condoms, chances are, you dont need to TV to tell you that you need them. If you need douche, viagra, etc, I'm betting you dont need TV to tell you that you need it either. I dont have the time or energy or will to explain to my kid what viagra or comdoms are for, and I shouldnt have to. Commercials for that shit is retarded.

Its as stupid as the drug companies spending millions so you can tell your Dr. what meds he needs to put you on. Unnecessary advertising is why that shit costs so much.

BTW, I dont think V-chip has a setting to block condom commercials.

no one is forcing you to turn on the tv or allow your children to watch tv. I pay my cable bill not my kids, so the tv is on when I say it's on and tuned to what I allow it to be tuned to. I don't need another company telling me what I should or shouldn't see, I already have a wife that takes care of that.

It may surprise people in this country to learn that the French do indeed have kids too. However, they figured it out; we, on the other hand, seem to have too much of the fucking Puritans (who were so stodgy the Brits kicked them out) dictating things.

Seriously, everyone who wants my TV options to be censored just so they don't have to manage their own fucking crotchlings can go die in a fire. Odds are most kids see/hear/say nastier stuff in 4th-grade recess than the things these 'family-friendly' zombie assholes are always trying to ban.

I never said anyone was forcing anything. Its just common fucking sense. Kids dont need to see that shit at 6pm.

I manage my crotchlings just fine so calm down Francis. I just dont want to have to explain a bunch of dick jokes to my daughter. Excuse me for being a concerned dad.

I suppose you just let your little curtain climbers watch what ever the fuck they want and play video games all day because you are to into daddy to be concerned about your kids. Oh wait, you dont have any kids? Then SHUT THE FUCK UP.

90% of what my crotchlings watch is pre-recorded. Either DVD or DVR. No commercials, no explanations. The other 10% is Nick Jr., Disney, or Sprout. Don't have to worry about dick jokes or commercials on those channels. It is not fair that those w/crotchlings seek to have networks censored further and punish others that just want to watch a show and enjoy the dick jokes and the pussy commercials.
