35RFTW
We are working on a total new used parts website. If you guys could take a minute to check out what we have currently and give me some ideas on what you would like to see with the new one, it would be greatly appreciated! Look forward to your comments. Here is a link.
Casper
Use a shopping cart like OS Commerce.http://www.oscommerce.com/I'm a huge fan of OS Commerce. It's free, easily modified, easily skinned, etc. It'll definitely help your site look much more professional. For examples of what you can make OS Commerce look like/do, visit Template Monster:http://www.templatemonster.com/oscommerce-templates.php
Strictly Street
Looks pretty good. Like the pictures being larger on the mouse over. Not a fan of the style of the site, never did like black backgrounds. Makes it seem small and cramped.Don't forget to leave a couple of extra fields in the data base for the new search terms you will think up next week/month. MidgetTodd
I like the fact that it says you have a job opening! I sent Ray an email about it. Oh and yea not a huge fan of the black background.
Zach
I would prefer pull-down menus instead of search fields
jporter12
Not bad! I see you have 2 parts for my vf500 even! I think I might need that shifter assy, too, as mine has quite a bit of slop in it!

Cheech
in firefox, getting a lot of 's with the descriptions. It's not all the time, but easily 90%.

For examples of what you can make OS Commerce look like/do, visit Template Monster:http://www.templatemonster.com/oscommerce-templates.phpThere are many templates on there for sure. We have already got our e-commerce provider in place. It actually will upload/download directly off of our point of sale system so things stay in sync without intervention. I will be storing that site for future ideas though.I would prefer pull-down menus instead of search fieldsThis is already in the works on our new site. We want to make it as easy to find what you are looking for as possible.in firefox, getting a lot of 's with the descriptions. It's not all the time, but easily 90%.This is definitely just something we will run into from time to to. Just like on Google Chrome I see errors from quite a few websites just from the way it reads the code. I am going to do my best to get it right on all of them, but no promises. Keep the good ideas coming.
jporter12
Could drain the slop and put in good oil, but hey wadda I know why didn't I think of that. It's worn where it pivots, I'm thinking of pulling it apart and putting a bushing in there, or just replacing it.

siggywiggy
get rid of the black background. y are you using photos of the contact people? I dont think there is a need. take the contact info off of the top of the page (u already have a contact page...leave that info there.) As good looking as that guy is..i don't want his mug shot to be the first thing i see each page.Make the font smaller on the parts description and across the board....its way too big and will free up more space and make the site look cleaner.Definitely get rid of the search boxes...use drop down menus. (the search boxes may not look so bad if the black background wasn't there and stacked in a vertical format maybe)I like the top portion...(header and tab navigation and colors)
