So...if i wanted to take a Hocking Hills trip, once i get there what roads/routes would i take? Im coming from lancaster, i have heard of different ways to get there, etc. I have never really had a reason to head that way till now. So, any idea's? What to see, what to do, and not miss? I've also heard there aren't too many gas stations around, anyone know once your in the thick of it...where some might be?

I appreciate any info.

Thanks

Favorite roads around there are 374, 180, 36, 56, 328, and 664. Roughly in that order is how most ride through and stop in Logan, and then return to the Lancaster or Columbus area. You might add a start by going to Clearport, and taking Clearcreek Road to 33, and then on to 374. 78 going East from Nelsonville is a great road all the way to PA and back.

Check these websites:

Watch for a ride posted up here soon, a group will probably be down there to ride.

The roads in Hocking still have a bit too much sand on them for pleasant riding.

As soon as it gets warm, there are hundreds of bikes down there.

Always be careful, it is real easy to run off the road in any of these areas.

Lots of great riding all around Logan and Nelsonville. Stop at the Welcome center on ST Rt 33 just outside of Logan and and pick up county map, then map out your drive and enjoy. Great eats at Jim Bo's..Enjoy the ride
