idodishez Posted June 7, 2010 Report Share Posted June 7, 2010 I got a set of Alpine Star leathers off E-bay. I did OK I think, $250 for a 2 piece suit. It arrived today. Opened it up and realized it didn't have a pocket for a back protector. I thought for sure if would have one, or at least a foam pad/pocket like my Joe Rocket jacket does.So for a newb question, dont back protectors go into pockets of the jacket? Is there a way to have a back protector with no pocket? Im pretty sure Mid Ohio requires back protectors for anything above the novice level. You're thinking of those cheap ce back protectors, a track worthy back protector covers your whole back down to your tailbone and it straps onto you not in your suit.
