rawlins87
Woke up sunday and decided to get a scope for my Marlin 25MNSS (Ducks Unlimited Gun) it had been needing a scope for almost over a year. Went to Buckeye Outdoors and got a nice Simmons 6x22?-44 mil dot scope.Sighted the 22mag in and also shot the 597 22lr while i was at it.Here are the results.I will never use Winchester Wildcat 22LR ammo as it is JUNK, horribly inconsistent.Distance to Target -Roughly 50 yardsThe 22'sMy best attempt to see through the new scopeRemington 597 22LR @ 25 yards CCI Blazer ammoHad to sight it in because it was sighted in for around 75 yards.#1 too high/#2 too high/#3 getting closer/#4 sighted inRemington 597 22LR @ 50 Yards Shitty Winchester Wildcat ammo& CCI BlazerNotice the shitty wildcat scatterRemington 597 22LR @ 50 yards Just Shitty Wildcat ammoGroup to the left was aiming dead center. Group towards center was 2" right holdMarlin 22 Mag sight inFirst Target after initial sight in I attempted my first Krlon paint job on the 597. Turned out OKWhat i discoverd is both guns need trigger mods, pull is about 9-10 lbs. 2.5-3.5 would be ideal for me. Also i need more time to practice as I tend to shoot a little left. Now that i finally got a scope, will be working on my accuracy at 125 yards (front yard)

rawlins87
Nice post. I pitty the guy that decides to cut down that tree What tree? The whole house is surrounded, the back stop tree is one of the smaller ones. LOL the biggest tree that's close (within 50ft) is about 4.5ft diameter. And the tree that the camo gun is next to is alive and quite well. Edited June 22, 2010 by rawlins87
