redkow97
morons do that.said it before, and i'll say it again: some forms of stupidity should be punishable by death. They did him a favor by "escorting" him out.

redkow97
I don't think he was ignorant, I think he knew damn well people would react in that manner. He was asking for it.If i wore a shirt that said "fuck you cleveland cavs fans," I'd know what to expect. a LeBron Heat jersey is essentially the same thing. redkow97
the more I think about it, the more conflicted I am on the issue.from a legal standpoint, it's a free speech issue. Progressive field can ask him to leave the property for pretty much any reason, but practically speaking, the Jersey isn't inherently offensive - it just creates a situation in which their "security" staff cannot possibly control the crowd and maintain a safe environment. The guy wanted attention, and people gave it to him. Who really "won" here?
Disclaimer
I was at the game... I wondered what all the commotion was. I couldn't get a good look from my seat. All I saw was the cop escorting the guy and chick out and her flipping the bird to everyone as she walked down the steps.
Tpoppa
Awesome!Intentionally causing a disturbance can get you kicked out. I hope he wore that shirt to some of the bars after the game.
RVTPilot
As long as the other fans around him didn't make it physical, he got what he deserved. Obvious attention whore and a complete fucktard.
Steve Butters
wow...really? all the guy did was wear a fucking jersey...its pathetic how sports fan act, and i would be ashamed if i lived in cleveland OMG lebron switched to a better team where he has a better chance to further his career....i hope he dies the most painful death ever, and i hope someone rapes his children when their bornpeople are fucking stupid, its just a sport
Bad324
we're assholes, get used to it but seriously, its Cleveland...what else do we have other than the slim hope of sports?
RVTPilot
yeah, really. he didn't "just wear a jersey". a month after the whole LeBacle and he goes to a game pimping that? that's a premeditated move plain and simple. a year from now when the NBA season is in the books, probably not so big of a deal. but right now? dumb move. and i'm sure as hell not embarassed by folks at a game i wasn't at doing something i probably wouldn't have done. flounder
If he was kicked out for that jersey, then he should sue the shit out of them. People need to grow up.
Bad324
If he was kicked out for that jersey, then he should sue the shit out of them. People need to grow up.supposedly it wasn't him they were actually kicking out it was his girlfriend for repeated offensive gestures and swearing at people as they were booing him. They told her/them several times if she didn't clean up her act they would be removed and when she didn't listen they followed through
redkow97
wow...really? all the guy did was wear a fucking jersey...so I can walk into an R&B club wearing a Klan hood and that would be fine? I'm just wearing a silly hat.would the black patrons be a-holes for reacting, or would I be the a-hole for provoking them?
redkow97
If he was kicked out for that jersey, then he should sue the shit out of them. Progressive field is privately owned. If he wasn't breaking a single rule, they can still "kick him out" and all he's entitled to is a refund for his ticket.Besides, as I said in my initial post, for practical purposes, they had to escort the guy out. There were 100+ people pissed off at one of them. What's more practical; controlling the angry masses, or removing the 2 people who are pissing everyone off? Progressive field can easily rationalize it as a necessary precaution to protect the safety of everyone in the general area. flounder
Progressive field is private property. If he wasn't breaking a single rule, they can still "kick him out" and all he's entitled to is a refund for his ticket.Technically, they sold him the ticket and allowed him entrance so they cant justify removing him on the basis of what he was already wearing when they let him in. Can they find a way to rationalize it.. Of course. Does he still have a strong case for a law suit. Yup. Would any Cleveland judge grant him anything.. who knows. People wear other team jerseys to sporting events all the time. There is obviously more to this situation then what we see on the video so only time will tell to see if something comes of it. redkow97
I still think the video shows that they were egging the crowd on and provoking fans into unsafe behavior. I understand that the logic is backward; you shouldn't censor someone's free speech just because those who disagree will react violently, but I think Progressive field is better off defending a suit from the Jersey wearer for kickign him out than defending a suit for "letting" him get his ass beat while their security failed to control the fans. Steve Butters
so I can walk into an R&B club wearing a Klan hood and that would be fine? I'm just wearing a silly hat.would the black patrons be a-holes for reacting, or would I be the a-hole for provoking them?youre being serious?comparing the klan to a basketball team is the dumbest shit ive ever fuckin heard...really??the klan has a violent history, they have taken lives, their entire foundation is built upon racism and supremacy....they are a hate group, and wearing their symbols ANYWHERE is offensive....the patrons of the bar would have a valid reason for being upset.do you even think before you type? i must have missed the memo where the miami heat became a hate group known for taking the lives of people nation-wide
Steve Butters
I still think the video shows that they were egging the crowd on and provoking fans into unsafe behavior.so its ok for the crowd to attack them over them doing nothing wrong besides wearing a jersey for another team, yet when the couple defend themselves, they become wrong?glad you dont run this country, stalin. Steve Butters
triple because extremist sports fans drive me up the fuckin wall.... surprised the people didnt flip cars after the game and set them on fire to express their rage with the miami heat
