10 Day Traffic Jam

Yup, it's in China, and it's now making a record. 10 days sitting in a 100km long traffic jam. It moves a few kilometers a day. Doesn't look good. Estimated to be messed up for weeks more. But I bet the bikes and scooters aren't stuck in that...

It even has it's own Wiki page already...

That's insane! Who's prepared to stay in their vehicle for 10 days, with still no end in site?? Hygiene, food, water, sleep, kids at home, etc?? :nono:

It seems so stupid, it's hard to believe it's even true

The only other I can think of, was that huge snow storm in Germany. People were stranded on the roads for maybe three or so days.

And the part of the story not spoken in China... all these vehicles were headed toward downtown Beijing. Which apparently has gone into gridlock itself.

Surprise again! The Chinese mega traffic jam is back, on a different freeway.

This one is smaller, about 1/3 the first one. Some estimates are gridlock within 5 years.
