joshfz.2008
A friend of mine has a 2000 Victory V92. He was riding and the fuel pump went bad he replaced the fuel pump. Now it starts and dies, and when it warms up 1st & 2nd gear it runs rough possibly a miss fire. Also the first 18 inches of the pipes have turned blue. Thanks
MidgetTodd
I'd trade it for somthing other than a Victory, but thats just me.
joshfz.2008
thats what i said, or even a newer victory the earlier years had a good bit of trouble but he loves the bike, and at least its not a harley
Casper
Check the plugs. If they're black, it's running too rich. If they're white, it's running too lean. If they look fine, the timing is probably too far retarded.
joshfz.2008
im thinking the fuel pump he got is bad going to check fuel pressure this weekend
imprez55
Excessive bluing of the pipes indicates a hot engine' date=' which typically results from the mixture being too lean. (read: not enough fuel)[/quote']I agree here. Does he know why his fuel pump died? Also, was the fuel pump he replaced it with new or used? How long did he ride it while it was cutting and and running rough? That's a lot of pipe IMO to just be a quick test ride, unless its pretty bad. joshfz.2008
i think the place he got the fuel pump from screwed him, there not a victory dealer, but they are a polaris dealer. i think its from a 4 wheeler or something, he's checking the fuel pressure
