Mister2 Posted April 4, 2011 Report Share Posted April 4, 2011 what are the pro's and con's of the coolant passing thru the carberators on say a sport bike, any downsides to bypassing the coolant from going thru the carbs? just a thought please chime in... 2talltim Posted April 4, 2011 Report Share Posted April 4, 2011 I'v heard it is to warm up the carbs for cold weather riding...it's supposed to warm up the fuel and help it flow better and give the bike a quicker warm up during cold starts...IF that is the case I wouldn't think out would hurt..But I'm no expert Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mister2 Posted April 4, 2011 Author Report Share Posted April 4, 2011 the reason i am looking to bypass is due to when i am sitting at idle for a while..like say at a traffic light and when i go to take off, it will have a hesitation for just a quick second, like when first pulling the throttle, but only happens when sitting at hot idle for a small amount of time, does not happen when its cooler outside only when temp is above 75* Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
