Never had one but driven one a couple of times. They are tiny, agile and can be fun. One of my friends has 2, one for him and 1 for his wife he swears by how awesome they are. He's had em both for 3-4 years now and other than routine maintenance hasn't had issues with either that I know of

A good friend of mine purchased one a few months back, with 28k on the clock. He's since made multiple trips to the dragon in the car, along with venturing into south carolina quite a bit. He loves it thus far. But I will say, it is british, and it will probably have a few quirks here and there, but nothing to drive yourself crazy over.

i had one of the 1st gens with the superchargers (the S's are now turbo). they are awesome cars. crazed following, back in the day. i like them, i'll probably pick up an older supercharged version later when I get more garage space.

with the exception of the countryman, most minis are built in a UK plant. the parts are a different matter... don't know where they're from. I do know a lot of the parts are stamped "BMW" (since bmw owns mini)

Basically a 3 series BMW stuffed into a mini...

Fiance wants one... We looked but never looked real hard. She is happy with her little caliber right now going to college at OSU, whe she graduates in the fall maybe we will swap it out with one.

Not going crazy selling my house and buying her sisters house.
