The wife and i have decided to do a bike/car trip..Wednesday morning we r going to trailer the bikes to Boone, NC just off the Blue Ridge Pky and spend 2 nights there at the Sleep Inn for $60 a night, we r going to hit all the roads in that area during those days on the bikes. Then we are going to leave the car and trailer behind(hotel in boone already said we can park there) and ride down the Blue Ridge towards the Cherokee/Maggie Vally area and stay somewhere in that area for one night, then head back towards the car trying to take a diffeent return route by the next evening. We will load up the bikes and head toward home staying a night on the way back maybe around the Charlston casino( not set in stone).

Anyone is welcome to join us on all or part of our trip.(sorry no room on my trailer) And any info anyone can give us on the Boone area would be great, planing on riding up the snake and in the johnson city/ bristol area at least one day. Should be around a $650-$750 trip for 2 people (gas, food, hotel)

Happy Birthday and hope your trip to Nashville is fun.

Not sure if you are aware but anytime you ride in the mountains there is at least a 50% chance of showers....lol

Last time we rode in the areas ( Hillsville, Va over to Danville and down to Raleigh) we rode through blinding monsoons.....still had a great time. Guess its just a part of the journey and adventure.

Right after this it let loose and was impossible to take any pictures.....didn't have any underwater camera equipt....lol
