Nice find! 22k well spent.

Nice looking house for only 22k, what's the story behind that price??

Usually for a price like that you'd get a shit hole in the ghetto.

Probably a forclosure, deals are out there if you look hard enough. I would love to find a house like that to fix up and use as a rental property. He definitely stole that house especially in marysville area.

Story on the price is its a HUD house that they were asking 57k for but got in contract for 43k. The house got broke into and they stole the copper piping and broke two windows, they were responsible for fixing since the house description didn't have that listed. They wouldn't pay so I ended the contract and a month later came back on the market for 25k because it was close to the deadline for hid to sell so I offered 22k. They said no they want 25k but after I said it was my final offer they accepted it. Cheap fix, already replaced windows, piping, hot water tank, fixed electrical its now livable.

The house isn't a bad place mostly old people. My girlfriend lived down the street in high school.

wtg scottie!

Btw, I know of a house for $59k with over an acre of land in Ostrander if anyone is interested.

Only 1,000 sq ft

central air

attached garage

newer looking roof

3 bedrooms, 1 bath

attached deck

PAVED DRIVEWAY.. (harder to find in the country since most people include myself have gravel driveways)

The catch- apparently the guy murdered his wife in 2009 in it. Shot her dead.

Bank foreclosure since he's in jail.

But.. if you're interested.. lol I can provide you the link.

Should have thrown her in a swamp and claimed it was a swimming accident.

wouldn't bother me one bit, but the seller likely has an obligation to disclose that.

Anyone want to split that place w/ me? I'm in for a solid $30k, and we can rent it for the cost of the 15 yr mortgage.

Man, I want so badly to have the cash to have this as a rental property. Alas - I don't have the cash.

Nice place and pretty close to my house. Low taxes. Here's the link. http://www.trulia.com/property/3051752572-8960-Mills-Rd-Ostrander-OH-43061

oh, and here are two links to the news on him 'offing' his lady.

My ex is house shopping too. He came super close to closing on a house and the same thing happened. Someone broke in and stole all the copper piping, wiring, etc. He made a lower bid and said he'd fix up the place and save them over 10k if he did it himself. They refused to let him do it. It had been sitting there over a year anyway. Now it's going to sit there again.
