35RFTW
You really just can't help but throw your two cents in can you? If you take a look around you would see that the price is actually quite good. Most (if any) you will find cheaper will be either a private seller, have twice the miles, or repainted because of a probable wreck. Last year from Indy Ducati I bought a 2005 cbr 1000rr REPSOL with 1200 miles for $5500.. Never down, never repainted, mint mint mint..I've been around bikes for awhile, and know what stuff sells for.. IF you want to sell it "FAST" it won't sell over 5k.. U need to be in the 4's. Wicked1
9 Years old? $4300 would be a better starting point imo. I was looking at a 2007 CBR1000RR that sold for $5900 w. less miles.

Beegreenstrings
It is a good looking bike, in Columbus it should sell. The only thing that might hold it back is it is the end of summer, basically.
C-bus
The beauty of America is that the seller has the right to ask whatever they want. The buyer has the right to not buy. Crazy how that all works out.

fireman_343
It's clean, but in private party sale... It should go under $5k, but dealers tend to jack the price up a little. The thing is, it will sell and people will buy it.. Best of luck with the sale! The 954's are great bikes! I sold my 03 600RR that was as clean as they get and was lucky to get $4k for it! Simplysix
The one in the link is clean and has similar miles, but itsalso close to stockThe bike from ind. moto has a full exhast, ohlins dampner, corbin seat, and a few other things.I would think 2k in upgrades would allow for a higher resale price
C-bus
Who are we to play Internet Price Cop? If it's priced high, don't buy it. If someone asks why their bike isn't selling, go for it.
fizzer
Who are we to play Internet Price Cop? If it's priced high, don't buy it. If someone asks why their bike isn't selling, go for it.This. To a point, trying to tell a seller that they are asking too much just belittles that person by assuming they are incapable of looking at the same data you have and coming to your obviously "better" opinion. John
you know what though, its an open public forum. i really dont think anyone is trying to be a dick or posting maliciously, they are just saying the price is high (which it is). when you are posting on an open forum, you are going to get replies whether you like it or not... just the way of the world.

jporter12
My opinion is that people are being a bit rough on one of the site's sponsors. If you don't like the price, which IS listed as OBO, don't buy it. There are reasons that a dealer can get a higher price.

Dubguy85
IMOIf a person selling says they want to sell it QUICK and this is a great deal, I'm going to tell them why they haven't sold it YET.. Its not going to sell QUICK at that price.. IF they said they wanted 5500 OBO and were willing to wait for some 16 year old that doesn't know jack and gets his first bike, then they might sell it.. Just trying to help them out by telling them why it wont sell QUICK!
35RFTW
Just curious, how long have you ran a dealership? Ok then. Did anyone who is complaining about the price even do a search on Cycle Trader to see what these are selling for at other dealers? If you have ever delt with this dealership or myself you would know that there will never be a 16 year old leave this place with a liter bike. Won't happen period. Honestly I would prefer you just stay out of my threads or just the forum period since I have yet to see one useful post ever by you. I take pride in being one of the more active sponsors on here and I don't feel sponsors should be protected from criticism, but at least get some grounds for your criticism or just keep to yourself. John
IMO it would be much more professional to just say "thanks" and ignore it, than to make comments like "you just gotta throw your two cents in" or "how long have you ran a dealership".i understand where you are coming from, but it just does not make you look good IMO, and it could def. turn people off to shopping there. Simplysix
I can see where he is coming from, I would get tired of people of talking crap about about the price of something im selling. Even if the price is a little on the side its certainly not outragous, and it also said obo. Besides its also from a dealer who also has a lot of overhead expense people dont know or think about, hence the comment "how long have u ran a dealership". If you dont like the price, dont buy it. Just my 2¢
