Yes that is plenty. a .308 is plenty and smaller cartridges are fine as well. You have to ask yourself what you budget is for ammo, how often you will be shooting, and what distance you want to be able to get out to.

I shoot my .308 to 1165 yards.

I have a 308 now. Somewhat clost to Flounders. But I have mentioned on her a few times I wanted a 338 lapoua. I believe it was the bad new rifle. :D

But, 308 is plenty.

Eh ammo cost isn't a factor really, I'm going to start reloading. And based on your guys recommendations, I'm set :D has anyone been to thunder valley, unfortunately there isn't anywhere "close" to shoot over 100~ yards

Well it should be a factor. All that really happens when you reload is that you end up shooting more so you probably actually spend more money reloading.

Hell I just ordered over $1000 in supplies and 95% of it was just bullets..
