snot
Went to the range with my brother today. He has a Kal-Tec 2000 9mm. It was awsome very light, low recoil. It is still in the break in period but, with reloads and new ammo it stove pipes often. also we noticed the sites are a little low so its not realy easy to dial in. One of my favs now!We also took my Karh .40 and had no issues this time, a ruger .357 and a glock .45. The ruger kicked my ass felt like it was ripping the skin off my hand (rubber grip). MidgetTodd
Just ordered the G17 version at FF&F for $289.But did they give you a time frame? I've checked with 6 shops and all would be happy to take a deposit and order for me but all said no distributor had one and could be 6 months or more before it came in. Tpoppa
Yep, distributor was out. Could be a month or 2. I am OK with that.
MidgetTodd
All that I talked to said e 6 months or more because Keltec is focusing on the pmr and ksg so nothing other than those two models is in production right now.
Gixxus Christ!
It's a cool design but out of the several kel-tec weapons I have handled I have been disappointed by all of them. They just don't turn out a quality product imo. If you don't agree, pull the firing pin out of one of theory pistols, every one I have seen has had deep ugly tooling marks all over it. The fit on the extractors is almost always for shit, and the magazines dont drop free out of half of the pistols I've handled.
snot
We had trouble wuth the sub 2000 9mm ejecting the shells but everything else was good. Althoug the sites could be a little taller.
MidgetTodd
I will be removing the sights and using a red dot.
snot
We went to OE today they had 2 9mm and 1 .40 in stock.
MidgetTodd
But are they Glock or Beretta mags....I'm betting Beretta. I need one for Glock mag.
Gixxus Christ!
I prefer beretta. Love my 92. If its good enough for our military its probably too good for me.
scottb
I got to shoot a 9mm version of the Keltec on Sunday. Neat firearm. I do agree that the sights could be a bit taller, it was akward getting my cheek onto the stock to line up the sights. I only got to shoot one mag through it, but was kinda neat. snot
I liked the fact there is almost no recoil.
