jester3681 Posted September 12, 2012 Report Share Posted September 12, 2012 If you've got a noise from the rear diff, most likely you need another one. If it's that bad, it's probably gone. You may try changing the gear oil to see if it gets any better. Not so sure you need a transmission shop. Not sure what you drive, but these days, most drive line stuff isn't economically serviceable. Probably cheaper to put a used one in.
