I bought this this past spring as I thought my no desire to ride thing was because I didn't have a bike waiting for me in the garage. Well, I bought the bike with 18,200 miles on it, and as of right now, it's just over 19,000. The last 250 miles have been put on by a buddy of mine who has been borrowing it to get his riding fix in while fighting with his insurance company over his stolen KLR and KTM. And, seeing how the garage is getting smaller and smaller all the time, I figure I'd throw it out there to see if anyone is interested.

Here's a quick copy/paste from the seller when I bought it...

I purchased the bike in May of '09 with 7078 miles on it. When I first got it, it had the following:

-Aprillia Tuono mirrors

-Dunlop D616 tires (replaced with Pirellis)

-Zero Gravity tall, clear windscreen

-Side and Top cases and tank bag

-Triple Tail Pad

-Battery charger quick connect

Since then, I've installed/done the following:

-Back-Off brake light modulator (06/09)

-Kaoko Bar Ends/Throttle Lock (08/09)

-Rear LED turn signals (08/09)

-"Both on" headlights mod (08/09)

-PIAA driving lights & switch (04/10)

-Polly Heaters & Factory switch (05/10)

-Uly comfort kit (06/10)

-Lyndall brakes-Front (06/10)

-checked 77 connector (serviced with dialectric grease) (05/10)

-checked front/rear wheel bearings (07/10...I think)

-installed Pirelli Angel tires (07/10...I think)-EBR front rotor (03/12)

-repainted exhaust and installed new straps (03/12)

-I can't remember when, but I drilled out the rivets on the timing cover and put in stainless bolts.

-10000 mile service done 08/09...everything but fork oil

-15000 mile service done 11/10 (Holy crap, I haven't ridden much the last 18 months)

I've done an occassional TPS reset and ECM fault check (never had a fault code). I'll do a TPS reset before I come up, but I've never really been able to notice a difference. I had a very un-extraordinary lowside. That's what caused the scrapes on the right bag. It also broke the left rider's peg and left bar plug. There was no other damage and it provided a great excuse to put the Kaokos on (about $160).

and since I bought it,

-relocated ECM

-rerouted breather return lines out of airbox

-checked 77 connecter, regreased

- new battery

- front and rear axle sliders

tires are pirreli angels with rear being brand new, front probably can go another rear.

I'd sell it for $4600, but would rather partial trade for something else, preferably something smaller/cheaper just to have around to scratch that once or twice a month short ride itch.

250-400 dual sport?

simple dirt bike that can be converted to street, ala XR400?

had a few DR650's, would consider one of them..

my favorite bike of all time, VFR800, 1998-2000?

or, just because, trade the other way to something more fun/hooligan

KTM 950sm?

KTM 690smc(bike my buddy had stolen, probably funnest bike I EVAR rode)

I'm always amused by the oddball trades people like to offer, so feel free to throw anything out there, I'll probably say no, but what the hell. :D

I currently could use-

set of wheels/tires for JK

Eu2000I genny

economical daily driver

things that go bang, preferably 12ga or .308

what ya got?

Just out of slight interest;

What about an Ohio-tagged XR650R?

Uncorked, Baja light+tank, my 'zombie' bike of sorts.

Man, one of those was my first attempt to go from street riding to dirt. It was only a 650, and I had been riding liter class super bikes for years, it had to be an intelligent choice right?

I still don't think I'm ready for one of those again.
