I'm sick of this company i work for. they've bounced my paychecks before now they're not even giving them to us.

'

what gov dept do I turn these bastards in to?

I thought the attorney gen but there's no form on their site to do it.

I want to do it now while I'm fuming about it.

I have god damn bills due this weekend and now I can't pay them. this is fucking bullshit. sorry I'm just pissed off so bad right now.

Sorry that is happening to you. Some advice that might make you angry is to try hard(er) to prevent this from happening. Many of us have been in situations where it gets painful when money doesn't come in on time due to money going out committments. But is far better, cheaper and much less stressful to be able to pay your monthly bills from last months earnings. Meaning pay all your bills at one time every month and it helps avoid temporary disruptions.

In additon, time to look for another job or start your own thing.

edit: Yeah, I had one job where I made all the workers stop working till we got paid. They let me do that, still surprised.

I had a bunch of bad luck in the last few weeks. so I had to spend some more money than I like to.

I try to keep a min of 1k in my checking at all times. but my damn truck's fuel pump went out then I crashed my other truck and needed to buy new tires for it and have it aligned to keep driving it. it blew out a tire and busted a shock.

the other truck is still sitting because of the weather.

that's besides the point anyway. it is 100% illegal for them to not pay you on your pay day. I've been told this by past employers many times. I'm growing tired of their bs and I'm going to do something about it because all of the other pussies there wont. I've only worked here for 4 months. they've put up with this shit for years. the bouncing paycheck shit was one thing but to not get a paycheck at all...fuck that noise.

the one time I deposited my check on friday well come next wed the check bounced. then it cleared on the following friday.

I could steal a lot of things but I'm not a thief. and I pride myself on not being a thief. I would however download a nasty virus onto the the computers they use that have 0 security stuff running on them. (yes they're that dumb) my computer is the only one running anything because I'm not as stupid.

thanks but those are what I've already looked at. the first one is just for "consumers".

I need a link about wage and hour. the unemployment site has more stuff about it but no way to file complaints. hopefully I don't have to wait till monday to call.

but it's probably the best way. but i'm sure I'll be on hold for an hour.

I got stiffed two week's pay from a machine shop called Stover Industries in Delaware, Ohio. Cocksuckers went out of business and didn't tell anyone until it was payday. Tried to go through the Ohio attorney general like I was supposed to but didn't end up getting shit.

Ohio Bureau of Commerce

Minimum wage complaint form

This might work:

http://www.com.ohio.gov/laws/docs/dico_MINIMUM_WAGE_COMPLAINT.pdf

Instructions:

http://www.com.ohio.gov/laws/docs/laws_MINIMUM_WAGE_COMPLAINT_Instructions.pdf

or call them and ask:

Ohio Bureau of Commerce

http://www.com.ohio.gov/Contact.aspx?DivID=

Ohio Revised Code:

http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/4113.15

http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/4111.10

This is where Isaac's Papa is referring to "only have to pay minimum wage".

The law appears to only force a minimum wage payment in the worst case.

But the Ohio Bureau of Commerce is where to contact for help and information.

edit: checking Department of Labor...

Federal has a Department of Labor - Wage and Hour Division, (drill down to local office)

Ohio has a Commerce Bureau of Wage & Hour Administration.

That's at the Ohio Bureau of Commerce.

Federal Department of Labor - Cincinnati local office:

Cincinnati Area Office

US Dept. of Labor

Wage & Hour Division

I would probably flip the hell out after 2 non paychecks. I would confront the owner for payment now or I'd beat him pretty damn bad to make my point that I better have it within the next week. If he was a bitch and told on me I'd just counter with my own suit against the non payment for labor. It'd be no biggie to throw him a whoopin' until I got him to mercifully say he will pay me asap. This is my lively-hood, and I need the money I worked for. My anger would not think twice about doing what I said. Don't fuck with my family's well being and give me my damn money!

Seriously, I would do exactly that. Take it as you want it. :dunno:

So you don't want him to fuck with your family's well-being, yet you have no problem opening yourself up to criminal prosecution and civil suits that would far outweigh the amount you'd be owed plus any possible damages? How does having a felony on your record factor into your "family welfare" calculus?

No felony would be involved but, It's easier to get away with that type of stuff than you think man. Don't always be scared to do what you really want. It's not always as bad as you think. ;) Plus there always has to be proof most of the time to be prosecuted.

Don't confuse "being scared" with "being a reactive idiot". Civil suits don't carry the same burden of proof, and if he wanted to go after you after you "beat him pretty damn bad", then there's a good possibility that he'll win. Medical bills aren't cheap, and if you're the guy that caused them in the first place, then I wouldn't see a problem with going through the court channels to make sure that you pay up.

How's about you handle the situation like an adult and have a conversation with him about where your money is? If that doesn't work, then you start the legal action. The OP is lamenting the fact that he doesn't have time to interview, it seems to me like if he's not being paid anyway (and communication to that point between him and his boss are breaking down anyway), then the only option left is legal remedies and that takes time to process. In the meantime, take a day or two and get some interviews in.

"What!? It wasn't me. You always hated me after I started working for you and was always looking for a reason to fire me. Now you do this!"

"Your honor, my client never touched this man and I have proof from others that will verify he was nowhere near him."

It's good to know people too.

Anyway...

Yes, always start with the legal end first. It is always too late receiving the money though. Lots of times under the table justice is a good win. Nobody saw a thing. I have no idea what you're talking about.

I'm sure your brilliant fool proof plan that is posted on a public site for all to see for all time will sound great when read to jurors by Morgan Freeman.

I'll just go down to the local high school and find the first emo kid that wants to shoot people and hire him. lol

doing it via the law is the best way to go about this. nothing more troubling for a company than having a gov dept breathing down your neck about compliance issues. these kinds of things don't go away easy and it's going to be on official record.

You report it to the department of labor. Hit their website and drill down to the major city near you and call them.

thank you.
