motociclista
In the long and dismal downtrend of motorcycle roadracing television coverage in the United States, one thing has been constant. Every time we bitched and moaned about how bad the coverage was, it got worse the next year. And now, welcome to 2013, otherwise known as dead rock bottom.Read the rest here, but warning: If you're not in the mood for a rant, don't click. Mary#17
Did speedtv make some kind of announcement that they are dropping coverage? Mary
Streetfighterkz
Wow! I knew that coverage was thin but to completely do away with the coverage all together is horrible.Later, Doug
gixxie750
I don't understand how they can just not show it! I mean they record it all and do all the hard work. I just wish you could buy a AMA pass kinda like the motogp pass I have had for 3 years now.
ohiomike
Back in the 70's you could find it on TV alot. Don't think it was speedtv either. I remember this guy name Kenny something or other, rode a Yamaha, man I love watching him. Seems he won nearly all the time. That was back when I was into dirt biking big time and rode a Yamaha.Made me go look.... Kenny RobertsINDUCTED: 1998First American to win a World 500 Grand Prix title Three time Daytona 200 winnerDude could ride. swingset
Shame, but it seems like there's no money to be made by showing it...at least the weak-assed coverage they give it here.I just download the European shows via torrent the next day and get the goods that way. gixxie750
So are the AMA races shown in other countries? Or does no one at all get to watch? How the hell is nascar watched so dam much???
Kritz
Speed lost F1 too. Not surprised that they will stop motorcycle coverage too. SAD
madcat6183
So wait, basically we can't watch anything? I mean Im dropping cable in 10 months anyways, but wtf, I'd still like to be able to stream it. Someone who knows their tech stuff needs to figure this out. I however can barely work a TV remote anymore.
TRMN8TR
I however can barely work a TV remote anymore.Or ride a motorcycle, let alone ride it fast! On topic, just when I started to get more into watching and following AMA and MotoGP, it is no more... I'll have to find it on the internet somewhere.
gixxie750
I would think some company would make a website and sell passes to watch the races they ALREADY recorded. I think there has to be allot of $$$ to be made doing this!
RidersDiscount
Speed TV will broadcast the 200 and :fingers crossed: CBS Sports will pick up the rest of the season -http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=50715
Streetfighterkz
Does anyone know anything about Speed2.com? Isn't there where a bunch of racing is going to be shown or did I interpret the commercials wrong?Later, Doug
cOoTeR
Wow. They televise NASCAR truck but not motorcycles? They have shows like pinks all out and pass time where its the exact same show with a few different characters but the don't want to show motorcycle racing? I think the Mayans were right, its the end of the world.Hopefully another channel picks them up. Theres hope in that right? HDnet would be perfect they already have super bike family. Why not the actual racing?

Mary#17
Can somebody post a link that this is official? All I've seen related to this was in October and nothing really solid that speed won't be showing motorcycles. Mary
wantahertzdonut
Speed has been terrible for the last 10 years. I still wish Speedvision would come back. Isn't Speed supposed to turn into NBC Sports 1 or something anyway, and drop all automotive content in favor of more basketball?I've had the MotoGP pass since mid last year and renewed for 2013. It's spendy but for what you get compared to the Speed coverage. I used to go to the bar and have them change the channel for me, so Videopass pays for itself after 4-5 races. It's worth mentioning I don't subscribe to cable so for me it's worth it.I wouldn't mind one bit buying a similar broadcast for World Superbike and AMA. I thought AMA had a web broadcast but I'm not sure. I have to dig through my AMA emails, but does anyone know if something like this exists? I don't see how the AMA can continue its road racing with no tv audience.
Tpoppa
There are something like 6 shows about cake. With all the terrible cable channels I got to think that someone would pick up AMA. FUEL, G4, ESPN 8 (The Ocho), something...
