  1. The yamahopper is back. A month or so ago I burnt the piston on the yamahopper. Likely due to a lack of fuel. Anyway I picked up this malossi 65cc kit. The kit is actually made for a yamaha Sting which is a bike only availabe in Europe. Getting it to fit required a little grinding. It's pretty bad assed. I lifted these pics off another guy on the scooter forums. This is what the new top end parts look like. The list of ridiculous shit I've done to this scooter is getting to look like a bike you'd buy on the WERA forum. Malossi 65cc Cylinder (7 ports compared to 3 on the old cylinder) Malossi high comp single ring piston (it's domed) Puch 45mm diameter High comp head Boyesen dual stage reeds PW50 rear differential (taller gearing) BMX foot pegs Biturbo expansion chamber exhaust Bumped main jet to a 90 from a 70 2.5 inch tires front and rear (from 2.0 front and 2.25 rear, Had to modify front fender to fit) replacement seat cover I got it running this weekend and it seems to pull really well once it hits the pipe. I haven't revved it out as far as it'll go yet. I'm still taking spark plug readings and trying to be careful not to burn it up. Anyway, here are the pics. Here is the puch head I used with this kit Here is the old piston The old cylinder The old Head Here is the new top end installed. I had to bump up to a 90 jet in the carb and am running a K&N filter I'm running a PW50 differential, it has taller gearing because the PW50 has 10inch wheels compared the QT50s 14" wheels funny thing, the PW50 has a longer axle so I had to use a bunch of washers to get the wheel to tightly bolt on. Here is the stock differential Here is the biturbo exhaust I was bored while I was waiting for some stuff to come in the mail so I removed a lot of the packing material from the silencer. It's really loud now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1S-Q3ObFQU

  3. but...I would think the ass less chaps would only give me away as I was riding AWAY from the LEO??? I need to rethink my gear selection. Black Tod was invited (yesterday), but he had some white women to turn out. Priorities.

  6. I've not been to a single dealer yet that doesnt allow test rides on used bikes, and I've bought allot of bikes from allot of places and rode numerous others that I didnt end up buying. I hate to say this since CSI is a sponser but, walk away. Sorry Justin didnt know that was your policy till now but thats bad business there to not allow test ride on a used bike. And IMHO that price is too high for a damaged 03 VFR, I say a tad high for a perfect VFR right now. Edit, just looked at the link. 14,000 miles, salvage title, still needs work, no way in hell I'd give $4000 for that and then still have to fix it.

  7. Don't get me wrong, I like my droid, but for the average user, the iphone is just more polished. If you already have iphone accessories (docking alarm clock, ipod stereo interface, paid apps) I just think it makes more sense to stick with what you know. At this point the pros and cons cancel each other out.

  8. Thanks for coming out everyone, always great to see the support OR gives us. FYI, if anyone rides when we are playing, there is usually an area near the stage where we keep our cases and other gear. Feel free to stash your helmet and jacket there, it will be safe, no one ever messes with our stuff when we are playing.

  10. And someone had thrown a large rock through the rear window of the truck. And they did it with such force that it also smashed the front window. If anyone knows where I could pick up a replacement front and rear window for an 84 Dodge Ramcharger for less than what Safelite wants ($460+ before fees and taxes); I would be incredibly grateful. The front window can be from a similar year pickup or ramcharger. Also if anyone you know starts talking about how they smashed a trucks windows last night and it was really cool. Hit them. With a baseball bat. Like dirty pirate hooker. Also, the automated incident report system for the Columbus police department sucks.
