And they got it grossly, inconceivably wrong about imminent domain too. Political fucktards acting political. Doesn't change that in this case the idea of government superseding the states and individual rights to force you to purchase a product is so overwhelmingly anti-American that a 3rd grader could comprehend it. What's your excuse? Oh, you want someone to pay for your needs so it's ok. Gotcha. Can you imagine how in the hands of an administration that runs counter to your way of thinking this precedent could be very bad for you? That's the real danger here. The USSC has just affirmed that the federal government can force you to do just about anything, if the perception of greater good triumphs and congress slams it through. Have you read a single thing the Founding Fathers ever said or thought about these types of issues? You think they fought for all this so the Federal Government could be this powerful? They BARELY ratified the constitution as it was, because of the magnitude of the Federal power. We wouldn't even have a country if any of the states could envision what happened today.3 points

i still don't see why that would prompt your little snobby diatribe? did i claim anything else other than the fact that i am, in fact, NOT jealous of a SS bike because my stock newer bike already feels stronger than my old bike? we can't admire big HP numbers being produced on what is basically our same bikes (with significantly massaged motors) without being preached to by a fellow noob racer with like 2 races under his belt? sorry, oh god of the 03 600rr's. never again will i tarnish the name of the marginally less powerful, slightly older bikes. *smiley face*2 points

Next law will be required foods that you must buy because they are good for you. No you can't grow your own veggies to save money either because that doesn't provide funds for people who can't afford their veggies and have had to sit on the couch eating Ho-ho's to the point that they can't move. Oh, beef is off the menu as well as bacon, alcohol and any form of cigarette. But this isn't prohibition or anything so please don't go black market, riot or complain because Nancy knows what you need.2 points

No, not similar at all. Federal government forcing by punishment a purchase of a private product, merely because you exist? That's not even in the same ballpark as automotive insurance - and for fuck's sure isn't remotely similar when it comes to the scope and limits of power as defined by a very straightforward constitution.2 points

I have a mint condition 32gb Ipod Touch with very minimal use. This has been sitting around since I got my android phones and I have no use for it so I wanted to pass the great product on to someone that would use it. The unit currently has a screen protector on the front and a vinyl graphic protector on the back. It has the most recent software update also. Asking $200 obo for this unit as it is great condition. If you have any questions feel free to ask.1 point

People shouldn't blow their horns like that. It's rude, selfish and self centered. It's part of the entitled "ME" generation, regardless of the age. One person does not own the road. I found my battery back was off when I got home, and it was inside a shell and holster. And I had never ever seen my battery that dead before. It's a conspiracy. (Or it was very hot outside.) edit: I've actually stopped when people blow horns like that. After all, the law says it's a device for warning other drivers. I'll stop and stare at the driver that's blowing the horn. That makes them very very angry.1 point

Bear in mind the most common health problems we experience in America are self-inflicted. So the amount spent per capital is a poor estimate that is founded on the idea that the more you spend, the healthier you should be. Rather, the more unhealthy you are, the more you spend.1 point

So true!Don't you just love the socialist republicans yelling socialist when they have to help someone, but love socialism when they make a dollar off of it...socialist republican C.E.O.'s sending our jobs to socialist China and socialist republicans buy those cheap socialist Chinese products. There's a name for that...Hypocrite.Or republican, they're interchangeable.1 point

I hear you, comrade. Now, go to your local government office where they have a monopoly on whatever service you need....DMV, social security office, county health department and soak in the efficiency and awesome treatment you receive. Pay attention the plethora of waste, the long lines, the frustration and incompetence. Oh, look, everyone here looks like a diversity poster! Isn't this magical? Oh, look over there, that lady is asleep at her desk and there's only one window open for 35 of us. Now, that's gonna be your trip to the doctor for routine care when your infantile desires come to fruition. Again, I've lived that bullshit. Healthcare is not served by becoming an arm of a fucked up government...a government, btw, that might be in the hands of politicians completely different than the ones we have right now. Even if you trust THESE fucktards to do it right (they won't), do you trust every government from here on out? If so, you're fucking dumb.1 point

Gas production shouldn't be an industry it should be a service. Education including college should be a service. Food should be a service (free) not an industry. Clean drinking water should be a service not an industry. New cars should service not an industry. Car repair should be a service not an industry. Hell why not make everything a service? Profit is evil! Everybody should make equal wages and receive equal products and services. Slippery slope.1 point

That's it. Everyone is required by law to have a job. If you don't, you will be fined for not being able to make money.1 point

You are already paying for poor people's healthcare through taxes (Medicare) and higher medical costs (uninsured person goes to the ER for treatment and never pays).1 point

"<insert some item> costs money. i don't have it, but i want it; or i have it but i'm tired of paying for it and want it for free, or a lot less. maybe the government will buy it for me? lots of people make a lot of money, shouldn't they buy me things?"1 point

Wow, very, very disappointed in this outcome. Hopefully the republicans can get a super majority in place to repeal the law all together. This is another nail in the coffin of the debt that is not sustainable by government and it accelerates the spiral to harsh decisions that will forever change the countries future. I'm not sure I will recognize this country in twenty years.1 point

2010 Yellowstone excursion - 6,000 miles This was my first long distance trip. Solo. Camping gear, major camera gear, clothes, etc. Doing this again, I think I could cut the amount I carried almost in half. The Wee did fine though, no problems with handling and no hiccups besides losing an ignition key and breaking off my top box key in the lock. Oh, and dropped the bike once on gravel road in the Tetons... and once while parked weird in Cooke City, MT.1 point

Cool - he seems like a good kid and pretty knowledgeable with most any American makes. He's our Freightliner Sprinter technician at work but kraut engineers have serious issues with overdoing electronics on these things, so it keeps him guessing often on proper diagnosis I have tried to get him to join here since he got his 750 Shadow back, but he isnt a forum guy at all. I'll tell him you said hey!1 point

actually if you make below the poverty line, you CAN get government (cash) assistance and use it to pay for your automobile insurance... if you want to complain about "how hard it is to be successful" remember there are options... if you admire the poor for all of the free stuff they get, you can do it, too...-1 points
