So I'll start this with my time on a bike and go from there, because it is short. So, all my friends were on bikes. I liked them, wanted one, but knew it was not the right time for me. I was going to make some bad calls and hurt myself, or worse, someone else. Years went by. I had cars I was taking to the track. I knew I liked carving up corners and finally the time came when I was confident I would make the right decisions on a bike. That was 3 years ago. I didn't know jack about bikes, and Yota and Todd, members on here helped me out. I bought a bike, 07 650RR Kawi. Rode it 3 times, and sold it before I rode it 10. Wrong bike for me, but got a smoking deal on it and sold it for an 07 GSXR. So now it's time to learn to ride. From taking the cars to the track, I realized that's where I really learned to drive them well. So I said that's the only way to go on the bike too. I rode the bike around town little. I went to a couple small bike events for shops. But realized quickly, I really didn't like the street bike scene. Even riding around town was pissing me off. Crazy things like couch cushions in the road, just made me re-access what I wanted from being on a bike. There are so many images out there of people on sport bikes. There's the "no gear, hat on backwards with shades, showing of some crappy tattoo" guy. The "I go to the gym" guy. We know the types I'm talking about. For me, getting on the bike was time to blow off steam and feel exhilarating. It was me time. And understanding that every time could be the last time I get on a bike. I took it too serious, to ensure I would respect getting on a bike for the dangers there are. My first year, I might have rode 1000 miles. I wasn't riding in the rain and I wasn't looking for long road trips. I got in one track day toward the end of the season, and loved it. This is what I got the bike for. And man did I suck on the track. But I was learning. I wasn't doing anything wrong, I was just getting use to it really. Then I got deployed and the bike got some minor work done, but it sat for a year. So now it's straight to the track. Sure enough, my first track day was terrible. I was over thinking everything and just didn't have it. I just finished my 2nd track day and now have about 1200 miles total time on a bike; I say that so you can laugh. Fact is, I have learned more to the track about how to ride the bike and what it can do, and what I can make it do. I'm not fast and I'm fine with that. But what I have reached is smooth, and it feels good. This is just the start point for getting where you can push a little more, and I get that. I have one more track day this season probably, but I'm looking forward to working through the learning curves of all the future ones. FYI, this write up is because I have read several members inquire about track days and I thought this might give them the bump to pull the trigger on one. Just go. Get one in. If you hate it, that's great, now you know. If you learn something, great, now you know. If you Wreck, great, now you won't be hit by a truck. Get your gear. Get your bike ready. Don't care about power. I tell people all the time I have a 250, with 500 on reserve. I have way more bike than I need. If I could take a 250 on the track, I think that would be fun as hell. Go to learn and have fun, not to measure dicks. Thanks to Hoblick, Jason and Teresa Bowman, and Brain at Indy Moto. Awesome people make track days more fun.2 points

i dont want to sound like an ass, and i dont think i have ever poked the bear when my business is involved. I have a good reputation around here and i want to keep it that way... but why.. im running a business. i do alot for the guys on the forum, everyone on here gets excellent deals on anything i can offer them, tire changes at the cheapest price i can do it for, parts and gear for as cheap as i can sell, and tires at lower than most online pricing. Hell if i cant sell them a tire cheaper than they can buy it elsewhere, i tell them buy there and then bring it over for an install. I recommend Riders Discount to customer if they are looking for something i cant offer, ive reffered people to Pauly (DUCRX) because i knew i wouldnt be able to get them in, in a time frame they were looking for.. i put my customers first. i am busy busy, with my business, and with my night job as well. taking a full day to do suspension set ups and pay someone to help me, i just cant do it for free. As much as id like to , i cant. I will offer information of what sag setting are for, as well as what the comp/rebound settings affect, to much to little, what to look for to know if there is to little or to much adjustment. will also offer guidance for the heavier guys who need to respring. i love to help people out, but my business wont survive on free service. if you have the time to offer everyone free sag set up, then please do, im sure everyone will appreciate it very much, and your a stand up guy for the offer. If you do there will be no need for me to try to set this event up.2 points

I don't agree with anyone protesting a funeral, for any reason. If you choked on a hot dog while jerking off to Bowling For Columbine, I wouldn't show up and harass your relatives either. Your bait stinks, and so does your worldview.1 point

BTW, your ignorance is showing in abundance in this thread. Where someone lives or grew up has absolutely nothing to do with addiction. Whether they are unemployed, have one, two or three jobs, doesn't matter. It can happen to anyone, at anytime, anywhere. Black, white, brown, rich or poor. So Garrett why don't you do everyone a favor, quit talking out your ass about something you know absolutely nothing about and just STFU.1 point

g in another event. Spectators Arrest A spectator had been arrested after verbally harassing the family of an Australian cyclist. The spectator, a 33 year old man, was one of three individuals removed from the event for making nasty comments directed at the athlete's family. The cyclist put forth what was considered a disappointing performance and it seems fans did not want to let the....... Perp currently being held under Great Britain's Sticks and Stones law.1 point

I roughly translated the ad for you after getting piss drunk on wild turkey and bathtub gin. "TRANS Am needs some help" = It needs a new or rebuilt transmission. "i baought it to race" = I'm 17 or 34. Either way, I haven't graduated highschool "but i dont have time two" = It's nascar season "The car looks good" = I am legally blind from a moonshine drinking contest with one of my stepsons "it needs a new battery, two tires and a alighnment, and a tune up" = it drains batteries, 3 rims are bent, the steering rack is bent, and I left the motor out in a puddle of mosquito water for 6 weeks. "The car is very fast has a lot of work done to it all ready" = I bought it from a used car dealer and this is what he told me "just looking to make room in my garage" = I need those cinderblocks its sitting on for my above ground pool "Please call me at 614-395-0698 thank you" = This is my neighbors phone number, I haven't paid for phone service in years because a black man is president. "my name is toby are text me" = http://i.imgur.com/a6wtQ.png?1 "The car is Red hard tob crome wheels" = Specifically it is midnight rust red. Only two of the wheels match. "can email are text pics" = I sometimes sneak into the neighbors trailer and use his compaq from 1997. I computer good microsoft.1 point

1. It's important to have a woman who helps at home, who cooks, cleans, and has a job. 2. It's important to have a woman who can make you laugh. 3. It's important to have a woman whom you can trust and who doesn't lie to you. 4. It's important to have a woman who is good in bed and who likes to be with you. 5. It's very, very, very important that these four women do not know each other.1 point

I think dyno numbers are a joke. I measure a car by the 1/4mi time. Sadly I haven't had a chance to take it to the track or DR's to see what it can do. Car runs well on a brenspeed tune. I'm sure Brady could squeeze more power from it if I had the coin to pay him to do it.-1 points
